I'm a PADI certified open water diver. I haven't made too many dives. All of the in the Palancar Reef, in the Mexican Carribean. One of my favorite activities of all time, and I have tried a lot of things. |

Got my padi certificate ages ago, would need a refresher course now. It's so fun swimming amongst the fishes. Some couple had an underwater wedding recently. x |

Wonder if any of us have been on a boat together and not known about our other activities. I'm a member of a diving forum as well as a club so have dived with different people from all over the country! ! |

That could be the begging of a great plan, one hell of a way to warm up after those cold uk dives |

Love diving the uk, very under rated, my favorite place is the farne Islands, having interaction with the seals whilst diving, that takes some beating |

I have gone as far as a try dive, I enjoyed it but sadly can't take it any further due to ear problems.
I was always told Bsac is the better of the two courses, is that right? |

"Pay and die immediately or bsac/ scotsac folks ?"
Opened a can of worms here lol. I totally understand what you mean about padi's push push push tactics when it comes to training, but I believe the padi v bsac training is by the by, my instructor will not let you progress to the next stage of your training if he thinks your not ready, I've dived with padi and both bsac divers, and I believe that training agencies apart, there are good instructors and bad instructors, and safe divers and bloody unsafe divers. Right rant over lol |

Count us in! We are Padi advanced open water divers. Around 55dives each.
So who is organising the FAB swinging/diving holiday? |

I got certified in the Caymans and have dived off the Great Barrier Reef several times. Would love to pick it up again, but last time I got an ear infection, so not sure if my ears a 'fit' enough to do it again. |

I was trained years ago for work by the REDS at Marchwood. Dived for 20 years after that. It opened up new vistas and was great fun on occasions. Other times were cold, scary or uncomfortable. |

The other half did her first trial dive last year and will be doing another one in 5 weeks. But I do 'pretty dives'. |

"Yeah. still have pic's somewhere xx
Wow!!! Hope it wasn't to cold"
Not cold at all, water temp around 28 degrees. Feels a little cooler after 3rd or 4th dive of the day. Thought we had a deserted reef, so in we went!! .... imagine our shock when another couple ascended up over the reef ..... they must of had a right laugh at the site of us naked finning away as fast as our fins would take us lol Great feeling to naked scuba though |

Been diving for years, in a great club with a fantastic instructor, never mind Padi's, push for the next qualification, if our instructor thinks your not ready he'll not push you |

PADI MSDT instructor over here.
IANTD Closed Circuit Rebreather Trimix diver.
1500 + dives and 300 + hours on closed circuit.
Several 100 m + dives and many 3+ hour dives. I've dived pretty much everywhere there is to dive. Warm, cold cave and overhead environment. I'll dive with anyone from any agency at least once but if they don't play safe it's also the last dive I'll do with them.
Like one poster said though, nothing sexy about a drysuit. |

"Instructor for my sins. Will be at a well known inland dive site next weekend! Nothing sexy about a dry suit! Xx"
Done a couple of dives in my time..
Is that site the S or G one?
Stony is good but there's nothing like a bit of zero vis diving at Gildy..
