I've always been curious as to why people use the word 'professional' in their profile? As in 'we are a professional couple/female'. Is it to make them stand out or do they only want to play with other 'professionals'? I'd like to think whatever somebody's job, they do it professionally! I try to. One of the things about swinging is its diverse community. All age groups, colours etc. You could be meeting a chief exec or a litter picker. Does it matter? I'd like to think I get on with people from all aspects of life, so it doesn't matter to me. Just wondered on others opinions. I'm sure I will be enlightened! |

Why does it make them dickheads ? For us one half is in a job that requires discretion hence the use of professional. The other half used to be professional now isn't and couldnt care less about it. However its a way we show we have certain standards for meets/people. It doesn't mean we only meet professionals however, though smelly and chavy slum dwellers needn't apply to meet us as we are not interested. Its our preference and don't understand why so many on here get hung up on it. We are not the dickheads, perhaps you are by getting hung up on preferences that people have? |

Same question could be asked of a myriad of terms that people use on their profile. What I never understand is the vitriol with which some choose to attack those who do use the term.

I read it more as someone having a responsible attitude re; discretion, behaviour etc but I guess no one is going to put anything negative about themselves so wonder at the value? |

People seem quite hung up on semantics at the mo.
If you have a chip on your shoulder about people that describe themselves in such a way you probably won't get on.
Some of what I've read makes it seem quite sensible to have on a profile. |

Play nicely people! I just wondered why people felt the need to put it on their profile. I can understand the discretion part, but would guess that goes for most, if not all, anyway. But if you need discretion, does not putting 'professional' make you stand out? |

I work in a shipyard and always covered in shite at the end of the day and can glady say I've a very demanding job but don't have to put professional cause I scrub up well lol |

 Have to agree with this. We state it on our profile and threads like this hammer home that it is an unintentional but very desirable filter!
