Pretty much anything can be used in my experience. When I'm on my own and having a toy session (vids all over the net) I use e45 cream just because I'm a tight arse. Well, not in that sense a tight arse, I'm very flexible thank you very much, but I can use as much as I like if I get ambitious with the size of toy

Alternatives? Depends if you're playing with toys or having sex with a condom. If using a condom you need to be more careful what lubrication you use.

I use Liquid Silk for all types of play and it seems to do the trick.

Superdrug's own brand is superior and is better value for money to Durex lube as I find the Durex drys up to quickly and is more expensive!
