Poppers were originally given to alieviate the symptoms of angina. People are different. For me it gives me headache although for John it does what it should and speeds up his heart rate, makes him very flushed although temporarily spaced out a little But doesnt last for long. |

I look like something from tje walking dead!!!
Any tips or advice would be mich appreciated "
Poppers affect your heart/ circulation, and also weaken your immune system, leaving you more vunerable to virus from the common cold to HIV.
there are about 20 threads about poppers worth browsing.

"Thanks for the reply dose it make him more hornyer?"
Not at all. This was talking from a while ago. As a previous poster has said, do your research before inhaling. Personally its a waste of time and brain cells in my opinion. |

What are the risks?
Taking poppers is potentially dangerous for anyone with heart problems, anaemia or glaucoma (an eye disease).
Here’s what poppers can do to you.
•They can cause your blood pressure to drop to a dangerous level. So, you shouldn’t take them if you have problems with your blood pressure, are on any blood pressure medication, or if you are taking Viagra.
•You can die due to injury to red blood cells and reduced oxygen supply to vital organs.
•You may lose consciousness and could die through choking on your vomit. Using poppers with alcohol can increase this risk.
•Poppers are linked with risky sexual behaviour and may lead to catching a sexually transmitted disease.
•They can burn your skin on contact and can kill you if you swallow them.
•They're highly flammable.
•They can cause nausea, headache, and disorientation.
•Fatal ‘sudden sniffing death syndrome’ has been reported due to development of an abnormal heart rhythm when taking poppers.

They make you lightheaded and act as a muscle relaxant - so guys trying anal often try them.
But they can trigger serious reactions so never use unless you've checked with everyone present that they are ok with them.
They are also meant to be used as a room odouriser not to be sniffed from the bottle so should be placed on a windowsill in the sunlight or near a radiator to evaporate.
Personally I hate them as they trigger a sick migraine like headache in me and once the bottle is open that's all my fun finished with. |

Blah blah blah, nice to see the guardians of goodness and decency are about today on this site for casual sex with strangers.
Poppers and drugs are for stupid people obviously.
Smoking however is for cool people and will in no way kill you or those around you slowly.
Alcohol never has any bad effect, for example making you invincible and smashing a bottle into someones face or beating your spouse/partner/total stranger. And certainly has no medical side effects.
OP, poppers are widely used as a preparation for anal sex, particularly for beginners. A hit can relax your muscles making penetration easier by giving you a very short lived high. They come in different strengths, the ones you buy over the counter in the UK are the mildest and a good starting point. Yes they do smell funny, and the only way to know if they are for you is to try them.

My issue as I said is that it does not just affect the person taking them.... It makes neo very ill if someone around me takes them. So I am against them.
Btw I don't drink or smoke either

unless the bottle is being waved directly under your nose then a secondary waft is unlikely to cause heart failure or anything other than a "whats that smell?" Type reaction. Someone farting would cause you more harm, ingesting methane and particles of shit for instance.
Barebackers take more of a risk with their health than someone having an occasional hit of poppers as their ringpiece gets breached. |

Actually they make me feel very unwell.. and will practically end my playtime. Those going bareback are not forcing people to do so. If someone opens a bottle of poppers those in close proximity have no choice but to experience them.
So can't really compare the two. And ive yet to see anyone ask if all people are okay with it before opening a bottle. |

So its just the smell that puts you off, not the effects. As unless you're having sex in a small cardboard box you're unlikely to suffer any more than the smell.
Someone opening a bottle, taking a hit, closing the bottle, is unlikely to give a bystander any of the effects mentioned. And I ALWAYS ask before use. Some types of poppers actually put me off too, the really strong ones for instance, so I don't like them used near me. It's nice to check.
my point about barebacking is that you are arguably taking more of a risk with your health than an occasional hit of poppers, voluntary or not. |

No it gives me physical effects.. makes me dizzy and gives me a violent headache. No one should force the use of anything on others.. no matter what. And if I chose to go bare that's my choice and I accept any risks that go with it. My choice. Not some selfish person forcing it on others |

So hypothetically, if we were in a room and I opened a bottle, took a hit and closed the bottle, you'd get dizzy and a headache? |

I've had people use them around me three times. Each time I've had am adverse reaction... So people should not force others to experience them . |

I hate poppers. Theres always such a mess to clean up afterwards.....the smell of cordite etc......(sic)
Only experience of amylnitrate was when we used to check our respirator seals in the forces with it soaked on a swab.
I'm not going to try in my sexlife any time soon. |

As you've not answered my question, I guess the answer is no.
If the person using does as I do, open/hit/close, then the effects are confined to that person. Particularly as my partner tends to be at the other end of me at that point!
I would suggest the times you were affected the bottles were left open and/or used near you. As that is when it gets bad and even I don't like it. It's responsible use same as everything. |

The last time the guy I was playing with opened it... Passed it to his lady then closed it. It's selfish to use them unless everyone in the room agrees. |

Just say no then? Particularly if you know how it effects you. But I dont see the value in judging others on their use. |

that's what I am saying. That people shouldn't use them around others without asking first. If I was asked prior I would refuse...
If people themselves want to do anything that's fine but as these can and do effect others who may not want to people should be respectful of that |

I remember we met a guy quite a while back who used them - we weren't interested. Pissed us off that every five minutes it seemed he wanted to stop what we were doing, open his bottle and take a sniff. Kind of made us wonder what we were there for.
I think someone else said up the thread - drugs are for mugs. |

I've used them around 15 years ago and they were great for me. The feeling is of being really close and that you're fucking deeper and deeper is immense and if you can orgasm whilst still on a high then it is amazing but i think both of you have to be taking it.
Would I suggest taking them?.....no, but I wouldn't condone taking them either....they worked for me. Would I take them now? No....I'm older and hopefully wiser now... |

Years ago they were a brilliant way to intensify sexual gratification.
However our government are in an arms race with the manufacturers of poppers and keep outlawing formulas under the controlled substances act. Eventually they will be successful in making the poppers manufacturers make a fatal or really damaging formula then they will be able to justify their witch hunt. Rather like the way they vilified and hunted down pot producers until they made skunk to justify the risks involved in the production of pot...
So everyone needs to understand that because of government policy the formula keeps changing and at some point will become fatal. |
