Hi guys,

Just wondering what type of body you would classify as slim and what you'd classify as athletic for a man (and we can extend to women actually)?

Athletic: Looking any of strong/muscular/lean/fit/sporty

Slim: Slight build/lean, may have some visible muscle definition.

To be fair, I've never been a huge fan of half naked selfies (and I don't have a camera, which clearly doesn't help ) but I had a look at your profile: your "torso shots" are definitely nice

To come back on the subject: athletic is more a gym fan kind of style when slim is just fit/home work out, right?

Which video?? I was just talking about casual "keeping fit" working out: just a few press ups, crunches and sit ups...

It was enough to make me go from desperately skinny to fit

Like other replies I think in general people mean upper body definition when they say 'athletic'. However, I run a lot so am 'fit' but all my strength is in my legs (I do long distance so don't really need much upper body work). So I actually consider myself very athletic yet I think most people would and say: 'nah Dave, you're just slim, if not a bit skinny, go eat some pies.'

Well, it was the same for me until I started working out: now that I worked on the top, I'm definitely one of the fit one But obviously not enough to be one of the "athletic", haha

Athletic is usually a defined body larger chest and narrow waist nut there are some bigger muscle bound guys who are classed as athletic.

Slim is more straight up and down with little definition. But really it doesn't matter what you call someone they are what they are.

What would you guys class me as? I'm not ripped or cut but have big shoulders and a small waist...?
