Just mistook someone I'd chatted to online ages ago for a person I'd met once for coffee after which we decided not to meet again.
The profile isn't pic heavy and the two people are not altogether dissimilar.
Now I'm not proud of the mistake, but given how we'd never done more than exchange messages, I was a little surprised at how badly my faux pas was taken.
So here's the question, should I be more than embarrassed to the point of this being an eternal badge of shame, or is this just an occupational hazard in swinging chat....ie nothing to be proud of but bound to happen on odd occasions? |

we have been messaging and got confused with who we were replying to as neither profile had a pic on it (both shadows) so its easily done.
possibly the other person could have just laughed it off as one of those things that happens. |
