Hi all,
I have just received this mail, from a couple, after I had a look at their profile and fabbed their sexy photos.
"cheers for fabbing, but I have news for you, you don't SWING you are not a couple and only couples in a relationship can swing"
When I went to reply, I find that they have blocked me...
So...
Is it really only 'couples in a relationship' who are swingers?

We had a look at a women's profile and got a very terse message from her saying don't bother to look as she is only interested in single males. Now how do you know this if you don't read the profile? What is more why join a site like this if you don't want to be looked at on your profile. Fortunately most on this site are not like that. |

I noticed that the couple in question hadn't even taken the trouble to have a look at my profile at all. So their knowledge of who or what I am is actually limited to them seeing that I fabbed their pics...
I know myself, and never really care about classifications as they rarely fit anyone in total anyway.
It was just the petulance of them that prompted me to share this.
I am so glad they did block me as I would hate to accidentally approve of any more of their photos. With an attitude like that, I wonder how they get on in a club situation or at a party? If they get invites...
Anyway, I've been swinging since the 80s, on and off, sometimes with partners(M and F), but mostly solo. I've been to clubs and parties all over Britain and I was at Swingfields I this year. So if that all means I'm not a swinger, then I suppose I'm not, but I do have a lot of sexy fun, for a non swinger... |

You don't swing in their perception of swinging. And obviously not what they're looking for.
Swinging is a broad spectrum especially on this site of sexual awareness.
Some like wifeswap,bukkake,gangbang,female play,wankfest or just a shag.

the OLD definition is just as the couple described, couples sharing/swapping, their partners, and as singles have nothing to swap, then they were quite correct.
however, as we all know, definitions migrate and this simply isnt the case anymore.
no idea which couple is the subject of OPs ire, but im almost certain they wouldnt turn a single lady away, but then possibly they would, who knows.
they may well just purely want to meet couples that have the same thing to share, ie, the object of their love, so they can be sure the other people have the same emotional involvement as themselves.
but why they havent then just stopped singles from contacting them is anyones guess |

Im not sure singles who only meet other singles are swingers. But more than anything I think being a swinger is a certain mindset rather than being limited to a particular relationship status. X |

That is my opinion. I would not like to meet these two in a club/party situation as their attitude really is not conducive to mutual pleasure nor a fun atmosphere.
What they are referring to is 'wife-swapping', a concept I find quite revolting, tbh, as it implies that the husbands are doing the swapping and the 'wife' is a possession that can be swapped, a very outdated attitude, nowadays.
For me, swinging is simply all about people who wish to have sexy fun.
If that be singles (M or F), like me, who have been bereaved or divorced and now have little interest in a relationship, or younger people who are perhaps in a busy career or travel a lot with work commitments and have little time for forging lasting relationships. Or perhaps it is a couple who have a great time in bed and want explore their fantasies in a safe and sensible manner, with people who they can chat to and then organise to meet, either in their own homes, the other's homes, a club, a dogging site or where ever they fancy.
The whole point is that it should be fun and an enhancement to what you have.
To be labelled as 'NOT A SWINGER' by someone who knows absolutely nothing about me and to make that distinction based on an outdated categorisation and with male-dominant overtones is of no interest or importance to me.
I am so glad they also blocked me, it will save me blocking them... |

I was asked by a family member if I was a swinger yesterday. I told him I could not be as I was single. He just laughed and said but that just means you can swap more than one partner. You just keep swapping yours!
So in his eyes I am a swinger. I just thought I was a horny mare!
