I can honestly say no never. I had two monogamous partners between being 16 and 19 both of whom after time and discussion I played bare with (not two at the same time lol). TThen I had a few random one off encounters and played safe. Then met the guy I married. Then about 7 years later started meeting people on here and a similar site and always used condoms for penetrative sex apart from with the person who has now been my partner for over 2 years. With him it was like the others, condoms to begin with then after some time and a talk we didn't use them anymore. |

No one in any position of authority or responsibility is going to say 'actually we were over reacting, it's okay to have unprotected sex, go for it'. So research may be biased (though any decent research should do as much as possible to combat this). Do you really want to risk it on the off chance that they are wrong? |

Only once in my teens on a one night stand.
With hubby always bare. Really does not make a difference to me, I don't think the condom affects my pleasure at all. |

I can honestly say I have never had unprotected sex outside of a relationship. Or in a relationship until both been tested.
Just always been pretty aware of it due to a lot of mates spending a lot of time at the clinic when I was younger |

I have gone bare back with 3 guys since my marriage ended and now it's only one, both tested, both ok and yes Condoms are worn inbetween with meets we both insist on it !! |

I now play very safe but admit to not doing so for much of my sexual life. I very much doubt many statistics. As if true I am so lucky. I would never do oral with protection and have given lots of oral.
Also only since swinging have a used protection. I never used to. I do now and get tested often. |

Have in a hot moment (hangs head in shame).. Been tested for everything 'cause I panicked- all good, thank goodness!
And a few times, I caught different partners trying to slip it off before going in! Great way to ruin a moment

slightly of topic but everyone seems to jump on the bare back sex as a way to catch something when in reality you are just as likely to catch something from giving oral sex, there never seems to be any threads about that though does there ? and using protection for it ? |

If you have had lots of partners and so has he, and the other people they have met have had multiple partners, it's got to increase the risk considerably.

Actually there are threads on it quite often and it is not as easy to catch an STD from oral sex as it is from penetrative sex. |

The chances of catching something from oral are significantly lower than bareback vaginal and more so anal sex. People make the decision how safe they want to play. |

Yes to unprotected oral and no to penetrative sex. I'm a bit paranoid especially after having my ex get pregnant whilst on the pill due to the GP failing to adjust the dose to account for interactions with other medicines. Not that wearng a condom is always safe as I have managed to have one break, that was very worrying for me and especially for the poor lady involved as some of the rubber couldn't be accounted for. Thankfully no serious outcomes this time but another wakeup call. |

Hey I'll own up to having had chlamydia but then I believe I caught that from my ex although which of us was the initial source is of course impossible to tell. She was much more experienced than me at the time though and all my previous experiences had been protected, at least for everything but oral. |

Many, many times when I was young and daft, a good few times when I was just daft, twice I think in my early swinging days (was tested afterwards) and recently with a FB only after we both got tested (that's finished now and I've just been tested again)...been lucky in that I only ever got a dose of clap when I was a teenager...I do use this as my risk assessment for unprotected oral in that almost 30 years of BJ's and caught nothing orally - if that were to change I would have to reassess my RA |
