None of what we do is safe sex, although its a term we use its shorthand for condoms for penetration in many cases. You'd be surprised how many people have no qualms about women sharing toys or rubbing genitals together and how many will happily perform oral in all present swapping from one to the other.
The best thing is to stick to your own safety rules and let others stick to theirs....obviously when you meet you will have discussed all this anyway. |

Everytime I went to the clinic they said 2 months for hiv (aids won't show as that's the secondary part of hiv, can't have aids if you don't have hiv). Always had a full work up everytime over 4 years of playing. |

Everything we do has a risk to it, from breathing (very very small) to stepping off a platform in front of an oncoming train (very high).
What we are very poor at is assessing what the real as opposed to the perceived risk of activities are.
I'm not advocating bareback sex, but those who practice it have obviously decided that the pleasure they get from it outweighs the risks. In fact, the risks may form part of the pleasure.

I'm like OCD when it comes to condom and getting checked I spent 5 years in the army and would have a different partner most nights so back then I got checked monthly now I'm more laid back and not meeting the higher volumes so a check every 6months is more sufficient |

Actually HIV can show as early as a week...common practise is 3 months....we have taken risks I know I certainly have but it's about getting tested etc....it's a person choice as they are responsible for their own sexual health like I am with mine... |

There are people with safe sex on their who do bareback, "straight" guys who message bi and gay guys for sex and married people who claim their single.

I for one would not risk it, oral without, yes, penetration, no. There my rules and I stick to them. Many years ago I had a long term partner who I found was cheating, we split, couple of months later received a letter from nhs stating I'd been in contact with someone with std, I went and got tested and was fine, luckily. But it was a horrible time to experience and not a situation I wish to ever go through again. Theres a reason condoms in trials have a pregnancy rate several times higher than those which affect ovulation like the pill
And that reason is that they are a good and effective barrier but are no means perfect, leaks, bypasses, accidents etc all happen
You don't take the risk away using a condom, you decrease is, much like using a seatbelt reduces your risk of dying in a accident but doesn't stop it

Possible does not equate to equal risk, there's very good evidence some infections can be transmitted orally, there's also very good evidence though that vaginal and anal have much much higher transmission rates for many infections |
