on here, the definition usually is
those they have spunked over or have had someone spunk over/in them = genuine
those that they have not spunked over or have not had someone spunk over/in them despite messaging them = not genuine |

see.. again "time waster" is too easy an accusation to throw out....
but the thing is the site gives you the chance, the oppotunities, and the tools to them out, but that is up to you |

Ahh but after having more than half a dozen meets cancelled and gaining one stalker in the process then its hard not to say theres too many time wasters! Theres even a local guy with a duplicate profile nearby but nothing is being done... so I bet there's more of them around !!!! |

not saying it isn't hard.... but the post below is one I agree with...

for people who are new it is easy to blame everyone else, but in the long run some of the onus has to be on yourself and the way you do things...
maybe it is one of those things that comes with time and experience... and nothing wrong with having a healthy dose of cynicism and common sense, and learning from the bad things that happen at the beginning |

I can count the number of what I consider "dodgy" letdowns on the fingers of Dave Allen's left hand so I reckon out of my meets it's a fairly small percentage who are not "genuine" (for any given value of genuine) |

Only had one fake get to the point of meeting in 13 years of this hobby, a lot of them 13 years on this site.
We have of course had 1000's and 1000's of PM's in that time but only ever met maybe 3 per year.
So I can only conclude that all them other 1000's and 1000's were all fake, or maybe they were all genuine but they didn't want to shag us! Think its best we choose to think they were all fakes  ... yeah but what if they were not!!! |

I'm def genuine but there are a lot of time wasters and fakes up in cumbria,nice to see we are not the only ones with the problem..... Saying that there is a bloke I met with a lass I was seeing and he keeps messaging me so I block him and not long after that a different profile pops up and its him again... Done that at least six times in the last year .... |

As most people seem to think someone is not genuine for merely having the audacity to not reply to a mail, or deciding they don't want to meet someone.

EVERYBODY I chat to is genuine. Nobody is going to admit to not being. A but like when you ask if someone is a good driver. A high percentage aren't. But won't even realise their classed as such.
In reality about 1 in 10 will attempt to venture out the living room. The difficult hit is finding that person. Then coaxing them to make the leap.
And it's not just FS. It's universal. It's human nature.
It'd easy to contact people thro the internet. And just as easy to lose it too ....

the problem is that "fake" and "time-waster" are easy words to just throw out there because it leaves the person using them blameless....
it not so easy to look at ourselves and work out if there is anything we could have done differently....
if you keep on encountering "fake" after "fake" after "fake" the common denominator in the end is you.... so if that is the case.. change it!! |
