Does anyone else at work know about it? That could make things complex. In any event bear in mind that your boss might well be more worried than you.
However, in times of difficulty it's always best for you to have powerful allies, good relations with his boss or the HR manager could be handy too.
If you like a gamble then give his boss a BJ too, could put you in a very powerful position indeed, or not! |

As things are , he should be the one concerned possibly lol
The dynamic could have so many angles there is nowhere near enough data
I will say from a boss perspective what an idiot lol there is no way I would make such a risky encounter x
