An interesting question .
Recently friends of ours did this and unfortunately it went wrong . The fb became too demanding leading to the wife taking sides with him .
Inevitably it all blew up and although things settled down the idea of her having a permanent fuck buddy are now history .
However there are plenty of other instances where it can work so hopefully you will hear of some on this thread |

personally, couldnt think of 1 advantage.
IF V had a higher sex drive, and wanted extra cock, i would much rather her go for random different, than 1 other all the time, as thats when feelings can come to the for, from either party, which means there is a possibility of the husband being pushed out, thus ending the marriage. |

Whilst our marriage was never in threat the long term relationship my wife has been enjoying with one guy has just all gone horribly wrong and is being ended.
The dilemma for us guys who enjoy seeing our wives playing with single guys is we like it strictly NSA where as many women prefer the intimacy that playing with one guy regularly leads to, very difficult tightrope to walk at times  |

I can see the benefits and the disadvantages personally. (im in a relationship but we both swing separately and i do have semi regular fun friends)
Benefits wise i would always prefer to meet someone i know rather than someone random for safety. A fuck buddy who knew your partner and limits and respected them would also be safer than a random. Plus sex improves when you get to know someone which can take time.
disadvantages i see could be the fact feelings could emerge, however personally i cant see that happening if you're truly in love with your partner.
There's also the possibility of jealousy arising (ie you prefer having sex with him than me ect) but i believe that wouldn't happen if you were in an open honest relationship.
