"Just from a curiosity standpoint for ladies that do - what is it about intelligence that you find attractive?"
I like to talk about stuff. Although I have been known to get so deeply into a conversation with a meet we've not got much time left for the sexy fun time! |

I suppose I should have specified 'that you find SEXUALLY attractive' - I'm sure there are plenty of people you could hold a good conversation with, but that doesn't mean they're going to turn you on in the bedroom. |

I am more attracted to people with enquiring minds. He still has to fall within my (incredibly varied) type physically, but a repeat meet will be more likely if he has entertained my mind as well as my body (and feels the same way about me of course!) |

Very much so, yes. I love to be surprised and stimulated by a quirky, inventive, inquisitive, playful, mind.
I don't understand people who say, "I don't know what that means" on an online forum. You're ONLINE! Wiki it! |

"It's another whole area I can be stimulated and thrilled in - someone with a really sharp mind can stimulate mine!! Was talking about it with an eloquent friend once and he is happy for me to quote him:
"You want the full package, headfuck and all
Mind making the body do wonderful things
Satisfied mentally too
Swimming in a mutually nice headspace
Well, it should be fluid - gets your neurons racing
Nothing beats it
Flesh is limited
Needs to be a mix of sensuality
And intellectual interest
That makes you tingle from tip to toe"
Hmmmm!

I like smart and witty gents that have a good imagination, a variety of interests and well-travelled.
However, peeps who are too intense and not capable of small talks who would steer nearly every conversation to be about himself would bore me to tears.

Been there, done that too! "
Same, sometimes the depth of the conversations I have during meets sort of gets us side tracked from the possibility of actually having sex - I remember one time I got discussing with a woman the formation of the grand canyon |

I can get physically aroused by unexpected turns of phrases or surprising verbal injections into conversations.
Very much so indeed
If the utterer of such turn-ons happens to have the physical stimuli that appeal to me anyway, then Nirvana awaits just after the next turn-off. |

because with intelligence comes sex appeal & if you can get inside a peron's mind then they can let go completely & the enjoyment is so much more. But it takes an intelligent person to realise that the mind/brain is the biggest & best sex organ. xx |

I've read that physical sex appeal between men and women is largely based upon characteristics that are deemed beneficial for survival - for example, a man with broad shoulders, a square jaw and strong muscles implying his ability to hunt, fight and protect his family, and a womans wide hips and full boobs suggesting her to be a healthy mother.
Humans are a little more sophisticated than just that though, we live in family units and social communities where a strong sense of reason and diplomacy is needed to keep things running smoothly, and this is where I believe the attraction to intelligence comes from, someone who has the ability to exist effectively within a unit, and can solve problems with their mind and not just through force. |

i am supposed to be intelligent, lol.
weird mix of logical and creative, so i fix computers as a career, and write music and books as a hobby. Music is terrible and god knows what people will think of the book, lol.
I am a knowledge junkie, and can even nearly understand quantum physics.
of course i still cannot program my video recorder, lol. |

See, and that makes the difference. I will look up on new things, no matter where I encountered them. If it doesn't blow your frock up - skip the thread. Some folk enjoy being enlightened. |

My first reaction after Googling the word was to post something in the line of invert snobbery being rift on FAB, and I decided against it.
Good to see some peeps confirming what I already know, again!

Confuddled.

so you mean because you don't understand it, the OP is patronising? But still felt the need to read the thread and say that?
Careful guys, if a word is too long, not used in everyday conversation and not in the Oxford children's dictionary, you will clearly be seen to patronise other users.
Let's hope I never have any reason to use antidisestablishmentarianism |

Omw.... Should we revert to text talk to help those who do not understand, to understand...?
I am a bit jumped up my own arse, I will admit, but I would rather that than be a pompous arse.
I'm not looking for mastermind types, but some conversation does go along way

"Can you give me an example of a conversation beween 2 sapiophiles? "
Well during this week alone, i was delightfully introduced to the Meaning of Liff by a lady on here. Amongst other subjects. Further along, we discussed the meaning and origins of names, specifically related to my country of origin.
I've always enjoyed learning, so these were great moments for me. |

I find it quite remarkable that because someone is seeking a particular type of person, one or two of those that it doesn't include or have no idea of the meaning call it patronising or being looked down upon.
Put down your copy of hello magazine and open up something a little more stimulating on the mind.

We don't generally hang around with stupid people in 'real life', so why would we want to have sex with stupid people?
The same goes for racists, misogynists and homophobes. Though they generally fall into the stupid category anyway. |

My brain can be stimulated by intelligent conversation but my other bits require a little bit more to get them all excited
Im not going to have an orgasm while just having the meaning of life whispered in my ear,but ill happily debate all manner of subjects until I decide to either seduce the arse off whoever im debating with because I fancy the pants off or say thanks for the stimulating chat im off home now |

OK - translation mode:
Intelligent and surprising elements in a conversation turn me on.
If the man I'm talking to has the face, body, voice, and tactile approach that would appeal to me anyway, then the next stop will be Heaven.
Clearer now?

I've spent quite a while at uni with degrees, diplomas , I can 100% confirm there are plenty of utterly dull and unsexy intelligent people about
However there's also lots of intelligent people who are funny, great on nights out and sexy as hell
So really no different to the general population really! |
