I don't know why more people don't practise it as the benefits are huge. I notice most men are reluctant. Do people think it's seen as a 'girly' activity? |

Quite...I hereby do apologise for the naff puns and wrecking Toast's thread. I could benefit from doing some yoga myself, actually, as in all seriousness, I do get stiff sometimes. |

Me too, I'm a teacher also, and most people seem to think you have to be flexible already to do it. They don't understand that it is a health discipline like martial arts, I mean you don't take up martial arts because you can already fight do you? |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I love my yoga class: we laugh a lot.
My yoga teacher is 68 today and she looks no more than 40 years old. She's out clubbing once a month dancing the weekend away and then back into work on Monday.
I started eleven years ago to address some of my balance problems and it has really helped. I may be a small fat little barrel of a person but my core strength and flexibility are good. Yoga practice has really helped my arthriticky hips and knees too.

Somewhere in North Norfolk |
I did, for a while but I found it difficult as I sweat quite a lot during exercise and my hands/feet/various other parts kept slipping on the floor, and even on my mat!
I need to find a new class but since I am moving in the next few weeks it'll have to wait until I am in the new area. |

Yeah I practice it but not often enough. It's very true about it helping with back pain and it helps with posture and energy levels I find too. Effing killed me the first few weeks but now I can touch me toes again!

I struggle to get to classes now with work and kids eyc but have found some great videos on YouTube that are more or less the same as what my local teacher takes us through. Always feel amazing when I've done them |
