Don't meet newbies, don't make eye contact, don't be nice or encouraging, don't be helpful with tips, and certainly don't make arrangements to meet two in a row. Do not break your rule number one... Never meet a newbie!!
Aaaaarrrgh!! I've lost the will to live! |

Aww not all newbies are like that. We started somewhere and now look at us!
Patience and care and you never know what might happen.
Remember if you start on on during their first meet they will be thinking the same about you.
Profile changed to " looking for ---- please only new people as been burnt already"
Think about L plates - you weren't born a swinger. |

I had befriended two newbies, and did the girl guide thing of helping them around the site. Chatted and flirted and thought 'what the heck' i will meet with them. Bloke one arranged with me and we teased and flirted right up to half an hour before meet..... Then a message arrived: sorry can't do this too nervous i am deleting my profile.
Bloke two has become very pushy and demanding, my safety is paramount and so i have ended the arrangement.
Its hard work!!!
Profile was hidden while i was chatting with newbies, as i was being harassed for meets with others at the time, it was stressing me out! Lol |

"This just makes it more difficult for us genuine guys. Block and move on its their loss. And reading your profile its a big loss on their part. "
Blocking is unnecessary . One left as he was too nervous ( which was a disappointment for me) the other i have ended arrangements with. |

This is why I don't meet anyone unverified anymore as unfair as that seems. Had too many let downs. Either that or they just haven't had the experience I wanted if they did turn up. |

Venting helps clear the cobwebs!
Meet them on cam first is my suggestion so if they are nervous they'll be reassured and you'll be able to judge quickly the kind of person they are, but it would be a shame to stop meeting newbies, there are some real gems out there.

I've been on this site six years. In that time I've met newbies and unverified men: operative word met!
I've never had my time wasted, or a no show. The nearest I got to having my time wasted was with someone I'd arranged to meet after work for a drink. (I always meet socially first during my lunch hour or after work).
Whilst waiting I came on here and noticed he was online. Looking at the time I thought he would struggle to get to me on time, I don't do waiting, if you can't be arsed to turn up on time for a drink...
Anyhow, the meeting time was approaching and he was still online. I meet to coincide with my train times. I went to the station and went home. He was online when I got off the train. He phoned to say he was sorry, he'd been caught up in a meeting and was on his way.
I said don't bother, but he said please, I'm on my way I'll make it up to you. Got home, prepared dinner, phone call asking where I was. Told him, on my sofa, eating a jacket potato whilst watching Judge Judy!
Oh...he was verified! |

In 16 months we have also MET newbies and unverified single males.
As said you all have to start somewhere and as long as you trust your instincts and intuition you won't go wrong.

In this case you were right to leave and go home of course, but being online does not always mean behind a PC in an office or at home. A lot of people stay logged in day in day out!
I am sure you enjoyed your jacket potato! |

People do get cold feet and change their minds. I know I have in the past.
Not just newbies and non verified. But they do seem to be the main group. Join the site not sure what to expect. When reality kicks in, it can be too much for some.

Still doesn't change the fact that we were all newbies once. Or is this the new group that we tar with the same brush and everyone turns the other way?
Imagine what things would be like for all you experienced members if no one took a chance when you were new? The whole "don't meet newbies" attitude might come from informed experience, but isn't representative of all new arrivals.
I pick and choose my newbies carefully. It has worked well so far. |

We probably are still classed as newbies after only being here for a couple of months. But as you can see from our verifications we haven't stopped since.
Not all newbies are time wasters. Some of us are genuine. lol. Xx |

Maybe under another name or with another account!! You see that little green arrow between your Name and Man? When you click on it it shows all threads you have posted on...I cannot see one with your current username..unless they are very very old one or I'm missing something.
As to Lamb to the Woolves..it is of no benefit to me or anyone else to try and trip you up! |
