When i was on a dating site a really good looking man sent me a wink and my hubby said whats a bloke like him doing on a dating site  maybe he had the looks but not the personality to go with it, or maybe good looking but a bit shy. |

Plenty of people are just looking to date or just for companionship without marriage that's why they are dating sites. Sure some people are looking for more but by no means all. Been there done that and might just do it again. |

Couldn't be further from the truth. I've been single for 26 years and I have never been chatted up or asked out.
Those pics are the result of clever lighting and good camera angles. Don't forget black and white are immensely flattering.
I'm no more or less attractive than anyone else here and I used to be a very fat bird. The resulting saggy, empty skin can only be removed with surgery and I never take pictures of that!

I do, quite frequently actually.
Sometimes in an off-hand, jokey sort of way, but sometimes in a serious, kind of condescending one.
I guess a lot of people make the assumption that single guys are on the site just to find as much sex with as many different partners as possible.
When they discover that I prefer to meet / play with a select few single fems and couples only, who I also happen to enjoy taking out on social meets as well, then comes that dreaded question: "Why don't you just join a dating site?!"
The implication that you're considered dating material is a flattering one I suppose, but it's always annoying when your chosen lifestyle is somehow compared against the monogamy model - the 'right' way of living that we all secretly yearn for deep down inside...
I think some people just view swinging as a temporary thing; a cure for boredom or a stocking filler (if you'll pardon the pun) until they find a long term partner. And hey, I'm not adverse to that if I could find someone with the same outlook on this as me, but social convention seems to prohibit people from talking about this stuff openly and upfront on other sites!
Besides, I'm perfectly happy in this sexy purgatory for the time being anyway! |

How else are you to take the statement ....when used in a film as a chat up line it infers that the women in question is better than the bar she is sitting in there for inferring that inferior to her use that bar .
When the same line is used on a adult site it infers that women using such sites are inferior to women who don't but adding a girl like you you are inferring you can do better than to use such sites like there's something wrong in doing so .
The statement looks innocent on the surface but subconsciously in my opinion the person using the line has shown his true feeling on the subject if the kind of people who reside on these sites .
