He might THINK he is, but all women are different. I don't go for conventionally attractive men, so a guy who 'knows' he is good looking might find me a bit hard work in the worship department. |

Dont forget that whilst looks attract people ladies may also be attracted by a guys personality

confidence is good, not all good looking men are good looking to me though. i suppose someone like david beckham would be considered to be good looking by most people of course.
i like men who like themselves, not arrogant men though. |

I've said before that I certainly do value good looks, but without a good personality they're not worth a great deal, rather like a big budget Hollywood movie full of explosions and special FX, but with a crap script and flat characters. |

Depends on what you think is good looking, if they are good looking (to me) then why shouldn't they think they are good looking nothing wrong with a guy being proud of his looks long as he's not cocky with it! |

Its the same with women. Some think they are the best thing since sliced bread. But their arrogance just makes them so unattractive.
But confidence in a lady! OMG!! Try and tie me down and keep me still from pouncing lol

I'm quite the opposite I have it set in my mind that I am very ugly, not sure why but kinda feeling better about myself after been on here for a while. How you feel about yourself does have a big effect on how you behave and approach people, I have noticed in everyday life I become more confident as I become happier about myself |

I am just your average fella. I know I'm not ugly but I also know I am not your typically good looker and I leave it up to others to make their own decision. I must admit that has come across as arrogant to some but why waste time trying to prove to someone you are what they think you are not if they are shallow enough to not see through to the person?
If there's attraction, then it's all good. If there's not then it's all good too. |

I know someone like that. He knows or feels he can trust her and knows she won't go off with anyone or cheat yet he does. Maybe it's his own insecurities |

I've been told I'm good looking by some but I know it's subjective. I prefer 'normal average' people with a bit of personality and spark but if a lady is good looking (IMO) then it's a welcome and gleefully accepted bonus. |

A man is entitled to think he's good looking but needs to accept that not everyone will agree with him.
A nice smile & sexy eyes is nice but also must have a personality & not arrogant. Huge difference in being confident. xx |

Agreed. I have a very handsome friend that goes rhubarb pink when I tell him how good looking he is. He is totally oblivious to the stares from women so they think he's arrogant: so far from the truth. |

I like a guy who is handsome, rugged if he's older, or clean cut if he's younger. Nothing like a gorgeous piece of man in a towel showin me the junk in his trunk an all that.
But I dont like the vanity. If a guy comes to me with an attitude of "I'm soooo fantastic, ya gotta want me girl...."
I'll probably stay in and watch me box set of Downton Abbey instead.

as has been said, V doesnt go for the 'usual' good looking type, have had dicussions in the past where i have commented on a good looking bloke, and she hasnt given him a second look.7
so blokes that believe they are good looking may well be in for a bit of a shock trying it on in this direction lol |

I used to think I was good looking because I used to get a lot of attention from ladies but last few years think I may of been hit with the ugly spade in my sleep at some point ha ha,

I prefer good looking men to ugly ones obviously. Need to be careful because it is a small distance that separates confidence from arrogance and arrogance is not attractive at all.
I have also found that successful men tend to have an "aura" about them which makes them more attractive even though their physical characteristics might be standard.
On the other hand someone who comes across as troubled and down trodden really does not excite me and becomes uglier in my eyes.
So all in all, in my opinion, there is more to beauty than meets the eye. |
