We love the swinging lifestyle and we have a great relationship, we're tight man and open minded, but...
The last two couples we have met have split up shortly after our meets...
so, our concerned question is, are we doing something wrong? |

That keeps happening with us too!
I think some people just can't handle the lifestyle.
I think if it's their first meet, it can bring up feelings that make things difficult for them.
If they've not been together a while, then perhaps it shows them they prefer being a free spirit and playing with others without ANY boundaries rather than in a couple.
Swinging is really hard on a relationship, but if you're a strong couple, it can only enhance it. |

Not at all guys .... plenty on here are not real couples and just meet as a couple .
Others try it to rekindle an already dead relationship .
Don't worry ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Everyone's different some couples try swinging when things aren't going to well or one parties more keen than the other which can lead to problems.
As long as your happy a wouldn't worry about the other's. |

I wouldn't worry about it, it works for some and not for others, I don't think you're the grim reapers of swinging, unless that's a scythe in your pocket ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

You're not doing anything wrong, obviously their relationship wasn't a strong enough to handle swinging. Some think it will spice up a relationship but it has the reverse affect. The little green monster called jealousy creeps in. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Were these couples married/long-term partners or just fuck buddies? We don't meet couples often, but tend to shy away from the fbs because the ones we have met in the past don't seem to know each other well enough and be secure in their relationship. If they've broken up because swinging was a "make or break" of their relationship, it's their fault, not yours. |

No wouldn't have thought so, it would take more than that surely. Maybe they weren't quite as together as they appeared, you never know what goes on behind closed doors either. I don't think you're a jinx on relationships ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

This has happened to us also but we don't worry about it, we have also met some lovely couples who have been together years and swinging years it just mirrors everyday life really, we have played with fb couples in clubs and it's not the same it's a different connection, we prefer to play with real couples |

Its very sad when that happens but IMO things were on the rocks for them well before they tried swinging. I would suggest that their relationship was very frail and one person wanted to swing and the other perhaps didn't or it was a last throw of the dice. No way should you think its anything to do with you. You have to have a strong trusting relationship to swing with your spouse and both need to enjoy it. |

is it a lifestyle though?
for us its a hobby, or a passtime, something to do when we feel like it, but definitely not something that our lives revolve around, which is what i see a 'lifestyle' as.
