I need to see this!
I'll see what I can find for you. "
Damn - it would appear I'm outside your preferred age range ... oh well - and I'd uploaded a photo for you too.

We agree with _am123 leathers everytime. How many motorcyclists see other riders with a nice bike leathers and think or comment that looks nice, on the other hand how many see a nice bike and the rider is wearing shorts t/shirt AND flip flops and think DICKHEAD. Or is it just me that thinks this act of idiosy is crazy. Personally I think the police (ahhh) should prosecute such offenders. God forbid if there was an accident your going to be in a mess at best if not worse. Somebody has then got to see the injuries put you back together. All your mates come and visit wish you well, when your out of earshot the comment are probably on the lines of.. Dickhead what do they expect in shorts and T/shirt. Top of the hero list NOT. Rant over... |

cotton wool brigade.
i used to wear 2 piece leathers everytime i went out on my bike, when i first started riding.
used to take me longer to get everything on than it did to do the journey i was doing, but was happy to d oso for protections sake.
well, i have come off my bikes once in my life, and at the time i was wearing my gloves, jeans, a fleece and my helmet.
made a mess of my helmet, as i slid down the street on my face, so would NEVER not wear one anyway, but the only other injury i got was grazed knuckles, on the only other part of the body i was wearing 'proper' bike gear.
you take your life in your hands every time you get on your ride, whether you wear your romper suit or shorts and t shirt. the only difference being, those in the romper suits have a bag to keep all the bits in, shorts and t shirt guys generally wont need to, they can just shovel it straight into the box they bury you in.
its called choice. |

i read this one and at no point does it say kevlar jeans, but if thats the case all good as for the flip flop and t shirt brigade!, yeah it does take as much time getting all the shit on, before u go, and yes id love to ride in a t shirt etc, and yes it your choice. if u have come off wearing just jeans u are lucky, to just get a graze.
my mate was wearing a leather jacket and just jeans, and the jacket lifted and it wern't just a graze!!
it tore a chunk off his hip it couldn't be sewn together, as there was nothing left to sew.
i know what id rather crash in, and it only has to happen once however long you have been riding |

"I got a leather waistcoat, n choppers is where its at!"
Each to their own, I suppose. I used to have a chop but, like just about every other chop I've ever seen or ridden, it didn't handle worth a shit... and ape hangers are just another pose - form over function to the Nth degree.
These days I much prefer my bikes cafe style - and my bored up and modded bonnie is perfect for that.

Definately a leathers biker bloke her..was wearing jeans jacket when hit by a car in July...leaving my legs and elbows on the road has taught me to wear them..stupidly i already had them but was too hot to wear them! Never again.
The 2 bikers that stopped to help both had shorts n trainers on..my power ranger alpinestar boots kept my feet where they should..lesson learnt!! |

Sports biker with fireblade and r6, matching leathers, to many some would say, currently 16 sets lol love to wear them and pose too, well why not, it's amazing the looks I get at times and they can't see through my tinted or mirrored visor. Rides out always welcome |

Personal choice surely....the logical conclusion of an argument in favour of compulsion is banning motor cycling or any other hazardous activity for that matter. If one choses to rode in shorts and flip flops it may be irresponsible but some would say getting on any bike is and would legislate them off the road.
Aprilia Tuono....and race leathers or 2 piece suit. |

I remember last sumner seing a girl on a scooter, full face helmet, denim shorts flip flops, bikini top with a leather biker jacket open over the top. First thought was how much her body would be wrecked if she come off, she deserves evverything she get. I may seem calous but if you are wearing that and you cone off at 30, you will still tear chunks of skin off yourself.
Other pet hate are guys riding sports bikes in tracky bottoms and hoidies, then riding the bike like a twat. |

Could say the same to cyclists in lycra.
But tbh I got knocked of wearing normal cargo pants and a leather jacket only cuts where through the jacket legs were fine even the one that got ground between the car and bike.
And no she doesn't deserve anything same as you don't deserve some 44 driving over your head for filtering on the left in a left turn lane. Which I bet you do |
