How far in advance are you prepared to plan a meet for?

Due to various genuine reasons a couple have planned a meet with me for the end of October.... Hence the post!!

It totally depends. I have arranged meets for over a month in advance before. Sometimes it's just needed if people have things on and need to travel or people have kids they need to arrange babysitters for or any other family commitments. Sometimes some people just need to plan ahead.

I also once planned a meet at 7pm and I was round there by 8

I have found in the past meets planned far in advance never come off ! So personally a week is as far in advance I would make firm arrangements ! But would keep that date open till they confirmed at the beginning of that week

I have honestly never had a problem with the meets I have planned well in advance.

I don't plan in advance, i have found in the past the longer in advance you plan the more likely they are to cancel, you give someone 4 weeks notice to meet and in that time anything can happen, plan to meet the next day and they more likely to turn up

I have one planned for March 6th 2017, but I'm not holding ma breath as I'll probably be outside their age range by then

95% of our meets have to be organised in advance, normally 3/4 weeks.

Don't have that many cancel once something has been arranged.

We have young kids, so have to plan well in advance as need to book babysitters etc. It is not ideal but family will always come first. We do state this on our profile though, and people we have chatted to are generally ok with it

Shortest for me was about an hour and the longest was about 2 1/2 weeks but had been talking to them both for weeks/months

I planned a meet think it was about 2 months in advance once. We both turned up and it was worth the wait

As you've had 77 meets verified on your profile already, I find it strange you're asking advice lol

I don't normally tend to plan, more spontaneous

Depends! I've had a few last minute meets but generally ranges from a few days to a week in advance.

Different for some club/social events - they're often planned months in advance!

Without knowing the couple in question an in depth look at their verification trail will give you a real feel as to how genuine they are likely to be.

Some folks profiles just have 'reliable'written all over them and other don't, takes a while to work out who's who

My dear fellow it wasn't advice I was after.... More out of curiosity to gauge other Fabsters opinions.

Spontaneous meets are the most successful for me, as people tend to fail to keep to planned in advance meets for one reason or another

Planned a few weeks in advance works best for me. Any longer, they tend not to happen.

However spontaneous works well as well. An hour has been my shortest time.

Plan meets normally only spontaneous ones are still either a day or a few hours.

Shortest for me was an offer to pop in as I was driving past ....

From Text to Tit in 15 mins!

Longest was a week.... I can't plan that far ahead as I work away a lot..

Prefer spontaneous or not too far ahead arrangements personally.

I meet at home when my daughters are not home. When I know they'll be on holiday say, I'll plan meets: three months in advance has been my longest, ten minutes the shortest when they decided to drive down to their brother in Crawley. The joys of local playmates.

I won't plan more than a week in advance as I don't always know when I am going to be child free, I'd rather delay making arrangements than have to cancel them.

Problem I then get sometimes is someone I might have had a lot of fun with if we'd met that day or in the next day or two, it can go a bit stale.....can end up not talking for a bit then they pop up occasionally 'do you want to meet tomorrow night then' but by then the flirting and the wanting has fizzled out and it feels more like trying to make a booking at the dentist.

We plan our meets around time off we have together and specific club nights that we can get to.

Parties we plan up to a couple of months in advance purely because it takes so long to get people in one place on the same day.

My point exactly. I find if i'm really getting on well with a woman by messages, if we don't meet within the next day or so, the spark always seems to fizzle out and the conversation turns into nothing more than the odd 1 word reply, if that lol.

we generally meet once a fortnight, so start planning the beginning of the 2nd week.

any longer than that and we find people 'forget' and make other plans.
