I keep hearing how sex is still very important to most people in their 50s and 6os yet going by the people on this site its questionable.
Seems to me people in their 30s are the most prevalent on this site. As search for couples and single in their 50s and 60s there is a large drop off in the numbers.
As a single guys in his late 50s I find it increasingly harder to fined single ladies and couples on here within a reasonable area to me (2 hours drive}.
I guess one of the reasons is that some in their 50s and 60s have put sex to bed. Another could be people in this age group have no interest in swinging.
God forbid I loose interest in sex and I am still a virile guy who enjoys sex but it is far harder to find single ladies and couples in my age group.
I have had offers from people far younger than me and have met some in the past but to be honest I much prefer couples and singles in my own age group.
What are the opinions of us ermmm older generation of swingers on here?

Along with people in their 40s pretending to be in their 30s  I guess there are lots of things people might fake on their profiles not just age like penis size.  |

We are in our 50's and we are proud of it.
Think our age puts people off as it means we are mature and secure in our relationship.
It means we know what we want and cannot be swayed.
Another factor is we are both straight, and many couples are looking for bi female play. |

We were of the opinion that the 60+ club were far more promiscuous than any other age group and account for the most STI cases, maybe more to the Derby & Joan club than is thought, what happens at AGE UK ? |

That's a bit harsh. I have met a couple of nice people since I have been on here a few weeks. However I do find it a little strange when people in our age group are looking for younger but hey its a free world and it's whatever floats your boat. |

why does not wanting to meet people outside of our own age group make us hypocrites? When we're in our 50s and 60s then we'll meet people in that age group until then we'll carry on as we choose to |

I sometimes go to the over 50s social at Townhouse and there is no shortage of older people having lots of fun. I have never been turned down because I'm four years from my bus pass! Lol |

From what I read in the forums and on other sites I frequent men and women of all ages "put sex to bed".
I think there are fewer people on here in their 50s and 60s because of the era we were brought up in, although the sixties and seventies were supposed to be very free and easy sexually they actually weren't, information wasn't available in the way it is now, women were still told that "nice girls didn't" and I think it left a lot of people wary of expressing their sexuality openly like a lot of us on here do.

I am mid 50's and having a great time, I joined the site a couple of years ago for sex as hubby went of the boil a long time ago due to his disability, so I went a long time without..i thought at my age and size I wudn't get any interest but I was wrong, I am enjoying myself so much that no way am I giving it all up just yet, plenty of life in me yet.. |

Having said all that A and I are having a great time, both our kids are old enough to be off hand, we have the house to ourselves a lot, having lived a little we both think "sod it why not!" and neither of us is afraid now to say what we'd like to try...its results in some interesting weekends round our house I can tell you  We both say that we have reached a stage in our life when we are physically and emotionally mature enough to form swinging relationships and we both the confidence to handle it ....who knew that all this fun was waiting for us in our fifties. |
