Does anyone else get put off by profiles that say 'we are an attractive couple' or 'good looking guy'?
Good looks and attractiveness are so subjective the arrogance to put yourself into this category can be a real turn off. |

yep its a turn off... if these so called very attractive people spent as much time meeting and playing as they do telling others how gorgeous they are, it would be alot more fun.
we are just mr n mrs average but have loads of fun with others who make the effort to get in touch.
we don't even message those that use the words such as very attractive,fit or even proffessional can be a put off.
maybe just us but looks don't make for a great sexually satisfying meet! |

as I wrote on another thread earlier today, we have met "attractive" couples who really should have worn masks, lol, and "atheletic" couples built like darts players, lol. It's really just poetic and artistic license and different people use it in different ways.
Don't believe everything you read on the profiles. If someone interests you, try and look behind the profile, exchange a few emails, arrange to meet and then reach your own conclusions.  |

nah, it's just how some people see themselves, truth is we are all attractive to someone so everyone should put that they are attractive on thier profile.
It wouldn't put us off, sometimes we look at the pictures and wonder where they bought thier mirror (bare in mind I am the last guy to think he could ever be classed as attractive so I can say that lol)
Saying your attractive will put many people off not because they think your boastfull, self confidence can be an asset but it will put many off because they feel they wont come up to your standards and starting a meet feeling under par is a non starter |

I have a plan... we designate someone to be the judge of who is hot and who is not then you get like a 5 star rating from ugly minger to super hot. When anyone signs up they have to submit photos for the judge who allocates the number of stars. The judge will have to be elected based on his / her looks being very average so their judgement is an average of al the people. Problem solved. Thank you. |

We are professional and we regard ourselves as good looking. We spend time in the gym, dress with taste and are always well groomed.
We prefer people who take care and pride in their appearence as we do.

Is that not splitting hairs a bit too fine? Broadly everyone agrees that Shakira is an attractive singer (no "w" he he) whereas Susan Boyle isn't. There may be a small percentage who think otherwise but generally that is pretty much a fair statement.
We have been to Clubs and seen people come in trackie bottoms, un ironed t-shirts and trainers and to us that is not only unattractive but shows a lack of respect for themselves and any potential meet. People who pay great attention to their personal well being and appearance are generally attractive looking people because they make an effort.
We hope that our profile portrays the message that we want to meet people who take care of themselves, feel good about themselves and in a cocky way also regard themselves as attractive but you are quite right - the proof will be in the meeting !! |

What a great way to put that. It would also put me off as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One persons attractiveness is another persons ugly another persons ugly is another persons attractivness.

I know naughty kitty was being tongue in cheek. She loves being mischevious and winding people up. I find kitty VERY funny.
I did not say everybody who says they are good looking has low self esteem. I said IF you feel the need to put in your profile you are good looking UNLESS you have low self esteem you would not feel the need to put you are good looking.
Ok lets say George Clooney and Claudia schiffer was on Fab and each had their own single profile. Do you think they would have THE NEED to put in their profile they was good looking. No because they would be confident enough to know they had no need to put in their profile hey re good looking because is 95% of people who say a pic of them would think wow you are so sexy/gorgeous.

Perfectly normal that if you are good looking, professional and enjoy a good standard of living that you would likely get on with people of the same ilk - Yes? No? If you live in a big house in a great area and hold down high paying work it is most unlikely that you would get on with an unemployed council tenant. Sorry if it sounds harsh but that is the way the social fabric of society is and it is no different in the swinging world.
I think it is sad that people find offence if you claim to be good looking, professional, wealthy etc. Why should that be so? Is it envy or is it something to do with equal opportunities in Swinging?
