I know this is always on the news and everything else but does anyone else think porn desensitizes you?
In the past few years I've watched a lot of porn, and I thought as a woman I wouldn't let myself be desensitized by it - but I feel I have.
When you can search and see exactly what you want, and fantasize about sex and scenarios going a certain way I sometimes find when trying to reinact them - they don't live up to my expectations and I'm dissappointed with the real life experience.
When does a fantasy become better than the reality?
I think I'm gonna stop watching porn for a while as it's not really fair to who I'm playing with, to try and live up to the expectations of porn and the fantasies I derive from them. |

i have a load of porn dvds but only realy like a couple, ones called the best of fuck and play, the other ones called betty the sperm brat, its a german one.
i like porn because i get turned on looking at men as well as women.
i wouldnt say it has desensitized me though. |

I think so. Never been a great fan of porn. Much prefer to participate rather than watch! Do think it be ones blaise and the norm tho.
My worry is many in the 21st century will be so uses to porn that unless their sex life is like a movie that will think sex is boring |

i have to find the women attractive though and the men too.
i dont take it that seriously, i think some men think that because women like certain things in porn films that all women are the same.

I find perving profiles is infinitely more Erotic than porn but I still occasionally endulge. I do know someone who I feel can only ejaculate from masturbation now due to excessive porn use though. |

I think you do get de-sensitised to porn, I've watched a lot of porn for years but I don't think that has affected my morals or view on women. Has it opened my eyes to things I might try in the bedroom? Sure it has. I don't expect a women to act like a porn star in the bedroom, or expect her to do ass to mouth (can't imagine that being the nicest thing in the world lol).
It's a similar arguement to video games which are in the news every so often. Someone doesn't kill people SOLEY because they played a violent game, it's the fact that they are sociopaths or damaged in some at, either in their very DNA or from their upbringing.
Watching or doing a lot of one thing will alter your perception of it (I didn't like rap music but listened to a lot of it from a friend on here and quite like it now) but your own moral code from your upbringing affects your actions.
Just my view, but don't stop enjoying porn!

Porn does desensitise you, What made you do a double look or cringe a few years ago, now is nothing.
There are some great amateur porn.
Huge tits and so much ohhh, ahhh, hmmmmm is just off putting, and that's why it's in professional porn is in decline... |

Definitely agree with OP...went through that phase years ago..these days i like to read true stories about what people get upto..and like to see more amateur porn when filmed at a decent level of quality. ...professional porn just doesn't seem to do it anymorw |

I don't think it is just the porn but also the actual doing of the sexual acts . Porn has given us plenty of ideas , most of which we have now done . And after a while the particular 'new'kink becomes somewhat repetitive and I guess we become desensitised .
So in truth we have often thought the fantasy becoming a reality may spoil it . However after a break most things become horny again albeit not as much as they became reality .
So I don't think it's just down to porn - it's the act too and the less things you have left to experience the more likely you are to become desensitised . |

Hmm abit I guess, sometimes I feel like im ment to find any woman attractive URL, but to her I have to be perfect muscly guy, which im not.
