Evening All
Ok this is a serious question to gauge opinion so feel free to voice those opinions.
I am a bit of an amateur photographer - mainly spent time taking landscape/vehicle photographs in the past, but recently I have started taking photo's of people and loved it.
I have taken some photo's on meets and people seem to love them once I have cropped/played with them a bit. There are a couple of profiles around now with them on.
For completely non perverted reasons I love taking photo's of Women/Couples anything from clothed to risque
We have managed to get some time next week and are going to go out and do a proper shoot so we can upload some pictures on here as examples rather than the hurried shots we have at the moment. I also have loads of examples of my stuff I could share to show anyone interested I was actually fairly good and not a chancer just after time in a room with naked people.......
So the question is - if someone was offering to take completely above board and no strings pictures of you/your partner/the two of you together would it be something you would be comfortable with?
It would give someone the opportunity of some good photographs for free and me the opportunity of honing those skills.
We have been talking and L would be happy for me to do it, but would also be happy to come along if people would feel more comfortable with a woman present as well.
Just wanted to gauge a variety of opinion and see if it may work. Would you think it was genuine, would you feel safe or would you be worried it was a pic collecting perv at work!

When I was a semi-pro photographer, about 20 years ago I looked seriously into setting up to do Boudoir Photography: taking 'raunchy' pics of wives, GF's etc to give to their guys as a prezzie. The same 'trust' element which is involved with that, would be involved with what you are looking to do - only more so. I had the option of using one of two make up artists: a female in her 30's and a flamboyantly gay guy in his 50's who just happened to be a trained Max Factor movie make-up artist! When I did my market research, such as it was, I came across an unexpected stumbling block - women felt more at ease with the thought of a gay man doing their make-up than a woman!!
I couldn't work out why, until someone said to me that the guy is gay,.... but the girl 'could' be bi.... and as such, some women may not feel comfortable having someone who may 'fancy them' doing their make-up!! - the assumption on their part being that a gay man couldn't possibly want 'more' than just do their make-up...
If you want to get the kind of work you want to do accepted, the key to it is going to be getting past the trust issue. Taking your wife along is only going to be part of it - there is going to be the question in these days of SD cards etc of what is happening with those images after the shoot is over...? Child photographers in shopping centres have to overcome this too, and many print the photos off high quality printers there and then, then show that they are destroying the files immediately after as people don't want pics of their kids falling into the wrong hands - sad world that we live in
Like anything else, there is a market for anything..... IF you package it correctly... in ALL respects...

I, for one, would feel more comfortable having photos taken by a swinging couple rather than going to a high street photographer.
However, I would worry a bit about how the originals would be used in the future.
Just my pov, though.

We take our own now but our first meet was a photographer.
We didn't have any problem that he was using it to get his kicks it was just a bit of fun for each of us and we got some nice photos. |

That was one of the issues I did wonder about.
It would be difficult to get around as a lot of the stuff I do does involve some amount of processing afterwards.
The honest fact is that I would never do anything with the pictures that had not been agreed to- it is no different to photo's taken at meets. I would never dream of doing anything with those (to the extent they are all kept off the PC on an encrypted drive) - but on the other hand would not expect anyone to just trust someone they didn't really know.
I suppose the question is how do you get around that trust issue? |

You can't.
Either they're happy for you to retain photos for processing or they're not. Depends on your own motivations too.
If as was the case with the photographer we met it was all about the moment - taking photos etc. then it won't matter if they insist on them being only on their card and for you to have no copies.
If it's for you to provide them with processed images then obviously they have to be willing for you to have the photos.
Needs to be clear what you're proposing, who for, why, how it works and what it involves. |

Sorry - I tried to make that clear in the first post.
It is just a case of offering photographs for anyone who want some taken.
Why? For me - for the purposes of improving my skills and trying a new type of photography. For who was being photographed - a chance to get some good quality photographs.
What it involves would be up to whoever wanted the photos taking.

I think it is probably something best left to doing with people we know. The trust issue is going to be a huge problem.
And judging by the other thread that has just been started it would seem that there are a lot of people offering this on here already and some generalized doubts about the integrity of the people offering it.
Was just interested to see if there was any interest from a couple offering who could prove an interest and a bit of talent rather than someone trying their luck xx |

Stick with it & you will find couples, girls & guys will want pics done.
John does lots of profile pics (free of charge) for couples, girls on here & LS.
I (Kim) shoot guys pics as they feel more comfortable with a women taking the pics.
We have been doing this for years & have an unblemished record in the adult industry & the swing scene, trust is the major factor in personal pics & enjoying what you do so go for it & get photographing... |

Haven't seen the other thread but yes the are a lot of others, I've only seen a couple that I'd really love to invite round though based on their photos.
The debates often get a bit heated too - but I know when we've chatted about that meet we had others have said they fancied getting them done too and we passed on their details - so maybe just start with those you know and who trust you and encourage them to spread the word. |
