Clubs vs house parties

I'm happy with 3somes and 4somes. I've been to a very busy club and loved my time there. But I'm just not sure if I'd like house parties. It seems kind of claustrophobic.

I'm not sure why I'm ok with being around 4 people and 200 people but not 20 people.

Is anyone else the same?

I'm the same. I like clubs but hated the one house party we went to. There seemed to be more pressure to play and I also felt claustrophobic. Having bundles of people shagging every available space (bar the kitchen)in someone's private house just made me feel uncomfortable whereas a club doesn't make me feel that way as the venue is 'designed' for it.

Its funny you should post this as we had just the same conversation last night.

After having been in touch with a few couples over the last few months we got a party invite off one of them and the guest list was full of people in our friends list, we dont normally do parties but thought maybe it was because there were always someone there who we didnt want to play with so instead of getting into the whole "yes please" and "no thanks" we just give them a wide berth. Anyway 30 minutes after arriving we just knew again parties are not for us, there were people there we didnt recognise on the list and as Mr had been up since 5am and not finishing work while late we wernt in the mood for chatting for hours until the fun started.

We find at clubs there is less chatting and more playing which is ultimatley what we are wanting. We can arrive and leave as we please without any questions, also if we want a quiet 10 minutes we can go to another part of the club.

I used to be like the op.. house parties scared me... But after one or two good ones I'm a convert..

I love chunkymuffins but not so sure it counts as a house party as has more facilities than some clubs lol but love it.

In favour of house parties, there's the fact you don't have to pay loadsa dosh to spend the evening avoiding pushy single guys who've also paid loadsa and might have 'expectations' of what their admission fee brings them.

You probably won't get your bevvy nicked and the other attendees will have been vetted and vouched for by the host(s) rather than just anyone who turned up at the door with some money in their hand.

There's a reduced chance of journalists and photographers hanging around outside or following you home.
