Guess it depends on who your talking to ...My friend on here had a meet arranged for yesterday, he text to cancel and asked could she meet later in the evening, she said no she had plans and he messaged her her calling her a time waster/fake???
In my experience Ive been accused of being fake based on the fact that I decline an offer to meet...go figure |

If interested we pass out our "hobby" phone number for them to call us.
Although these days we normally on meet "real!" people at club and events.

"Is there any way to find out if a pic / profile is fake "

If it looks too good to be true....guess what.
Tineye and Google image search are good as well, but anyone serious about stuff should have no problems proving themselves
anyone saying 'trouble uploading pictures' or 'waiting for pics to be approved' should be avoided to - everyone else manages it ok |

Of course, you could just look for verified genuine profiles - ok, so a number of these may be fake too, but if someone has multiple written verifications over a long period of time, chances are they are who they say they are. |

"Click on the profile pics, if they show up the size of a postage stamp chances are they've been pinched from elsewhere."
Really? I've seen a lot of those! |

We have been caught out a couple of times this week.... We caught a person by using
tineye, and another by using
fotoforensics which shows if a photo has been modified, it also shows the full detailed metatag which shows when the photo was taken and what by etc.... so if like in our case the person sends you a 'current' photo and you see that it was taken in 2010 you can be sure its a fake!
If you want to see how that second one works, here is an example of a faked pic.... (remove the spaces from the url)
