I'm considering askin admin if I can copyright my profile, as someone has copied it word for word, except for his age (sad I know) do you think they'll let me lol!!!!! |

Your pics and the information that you put on here IS YOUR COPYRIGHT all you allow is that the site owners are allowed to use this information in the running of THIS site.
But having said that what are you going to do about it? If someone uses your words or pics, you could tell the site owners(admin) and they could ban that user from the site. But he /she still could have your pics and profile and just uploaded to another website. The owners of the site would not be able to tell you who they are or generally even find out who they are, they could tell you their ip address and host etc.. but that may not be any help either as most people have ip addresses set dynamically when they login so it will change everytime you login, also it is easy to do this from a internet cafe local library etc and you'll never catch em'
Best thing to do is realise that anything you put on a website is in the public domain and therefore don't put ANYTHING on ANY website that you don't want others to know. |

100% compliment and even changed a few words here and there would only mean they were saying the same thing as you so personally I would take it as the compliment it is.
I encourage other people to read the profile of others and get ideas to help and improve thier own profile though I can also see where an exact copy of your profile is a bit too much. |

Compliment, yes, problem is, if anyone sees both profiles, they may well think the OP is the one stealing the others words, and can have people doubting him.  |

Thank you to all those who have copied my profile word for word it is a nice compliment
Then wait to see how long it is before that bit is copied too 
Perhaps just putting a note to the effect that some people have complimented you by copying your profile but this is the only profile that actually pertains to you. |

I think I would still find it a bit weird seeing my profile copied word for word by someone else....
see... it's an odd one... it all the guides that tell single guys to "do this and do that" it was only a matter of time that we created clones...
we do talk about individuality, but I do see a bit of a problem because if we see this happen more often, then how you going to be able to tell the difference between those who actually took the time and effort to write something, and those who spent 2 seconds "copy and pasting"
as much as a massive compliment as it is..I would still ask admin to have a word with the person who did it and ask them to stop/change it......
but it shows that you did something right.. (I am guessing you have a ton of verify's to back it up and the person thought well that works for me maybe it will work for me)

This happened to me quite a while ago now. I was told there wasn't anything I could do about it.
Confronted the guy and he just pretended he hadn't... so I just blocked him and wrote a new one. I hadn't even met anyone by that point so I guess maybe the last laugh was on him!  |

When I first joined FAB, I introduced a gent to join via another site, and to my amazement, he copied my entire profile from that site, changed it to read right for a gent, and left the bit about having lost a partner via an accident recently! 
I was planning to meet him when I challenged him about this, and he updated his profile.
I would not call him a stalker, however, others might.
He definitely appeared to be too creepy for my liking, so I declined to meet him.
He then joked about it must have been his profile that put me off meeting time, the fecking cheek of it! |

I had a woman copy mine word for word... and she lived in the same fecking City!
I contacted her and she changed it... after telling me why she'd done it.... she said she thought mine was well written.
Anyway a week or two later and she'd changed the fecker back again with only a few lines changed here and there... only this time there was the addition of advertising a limo rental service... (click) report... (click) BANNED!
