"Obviously it's a natural bodily function, however, what is the etiquette when a man gets an erection on a nudist beach?
I think you have to stand up and shout "bingo" as loud as you can."

On a proper naturist beach, people are there just to enjoy the sun and the freedom, and there are often families about - so although erections are rare, it's expected that you keep it out of sight and wait for it to go away....
Although I'm a swinger some of the time, I also go to naturist beaches when I'm in the mood to relax and not to swing - and it's very, very unpleasant and quite threatening to be there as a single women and to have some guy waving one about.
If you have this problem often, then perhaps you're in the wrong place and need to find a beach where swinging does go on, and then you can enjoy yourself and wave it about as much a you want. Some naturist beaches do have quiet areas out of sight where swinging does go on - it's just a matter of doing your homework and enjoying yourself - and I hope to be doing just that tomorrow...!

It's really unlikely that this'll happen. Naturist beaches just aren't that sort of environment.
In the event it does occur, just lie down on your front till it goes away - and ask yourself if you're there for the right reasons. |

Agree with this and if it happens while your walking around just drape your bag towel in front. although if you do feel like your going to have a constant hard on then hide in the dunes.we would suggest that this might not be for you as a lot of naturist detest people sexualising naturism |

'naturists detest people sexualising naturism'
That is just daft. If people are excited, for whatever reason... I don't see why it will effect others unless they are bothering those who are offended, then that is wrong. If they are not bothering them then its no one else's business!
My opinion. |

People with little or no self control get excited. If someone has little or no self control, naturism may not be for them.
Naturism, even in the UK, is a family thing. Getting an erection on a regular basis or walking about flaunting it will get you asked to leave and not return. |

Why is it daft? We didn't say it never happens we are all human after all its just considered the decent thing to do.
It seems to us that some confuse naturism and voyeurism. Those who get constantly aroused would fall in to the voyeur side of things as Aposed to somebody who is there just for the feeling of freedom that naturism brings.

You will get prosecuted if children are about on the beach and you are reported to the police. You will be added to the sex offenders register if found guilty
In the past we have seen a man be restrained by a group of men on the beach whilst the police were contacted and attended for doing this near children
No one wants a that sort of thing near their children on a regular naturist beach families don't like it and will report it, mobile phones still work on beaches to phone police etc
We think this type of beach is not for you |

Hang on a minute people! This guy asked what the etiquette was, implying that he is aware that it isn't a welcome.sight. Has he said he's going to walk around waving it in peoples faces? He is merely asking what to do if it happens, no need for the firing squad. |

We are all human. I've not been to these things, not since I was just a little kid running around, don't even remember it just a few photo's of me running around bare lol.
Obviously people don't even like the idea of people walking around naked. I agree, it would be polite to control yourself but if you can, then you cant... if they are not bothering you then why should you be bothered by them? |

If when our children were small we.net taken them to a naturist sight we wouldn't have wanted.them to witness any sexual activity, just as we wouldn't have wanted them to in clothed circumstances. Naturists aren't naturists for sexual reasons and the same rules apply as if you were clothed, so if you would walk around displaying an erection in the High Street the consequences would be quite.severe, same goes at family naturist locations.
I do think though that the op was asking for information not because he has the intention of deliberately displaying himself. |

Not so much voyeurism as exhibitionism. |

Would depend on weather watching others causes the arousal or showing off or both lol

We agree we have given advice about what to do but also advised of how others may view such things. |

I don't think the firing squad is for the OP (his post was a simple request for info on etiquette).
The outrage is aimed at a poster who responded to "naturists detest people sexualising naturism" with "that is daft, etc". |

Ok don't kill me I just want to ask the question. I am not a naturist nor would I want to go to a naturist beach. But I am interested in the view that naturists are ok with their children seeing a flaccid male penis but once it becomes erect it is automatically seen as sexually inappropriate.
My young children would have had no idea about the difference between a flaccid and an erect penis. So is it the children who have a problem or is it the parents as clearly they sexualise an erect penis but not a flaccid penis? However, an erect penis is not inherently sexualised behaviour. |

"........ However, an erect penis is not inherently sexualised behaviour.
So what else is an erect penis for, if not sex?
You obviously use a spoon to stir your coffee......"
I'll use anything which 1) isn't sensitive to heat and 2) points downwards.
My willy fails both tests. |

I have been to a nudist beach as I love being naked. Didn't get a hard on but I'm only human and if u saw a naked lady that u were really attracted to naked I'm guessing it would spring to life. I would just roll over if I felt a stirring lol |

The outrage wasn't aimed at the OP. It was aimed at someone who posted a contentious comment later in the thread. |

I got a hardon on a nudist beach in spain simply because i was feeling self conscious about being naked, not because i was sexually aroused. I didn't want one but sometimes you have no choice in the matter. Just roll over on your towel, or stay visible but draw no attention to it. (I chose the former then the latter). Concentrate on reading a book (take one!) and it will soon disappear. |
