I know exaclty what you mean.
It bugs me as some seem to have the attitude of "well I'm here now... why aren't you gagging for it".
Nothing wrong with wanting a chance to sound people out before dropping your knickers... if that is how you like to do things.
I also find it puts off some of the easy shag hunters, who think any hole is a goal and want an instant fix. |

It’s the nature of a swinging site unfortunately, some like to socialise as such, others don’t, it’s just something we all have to live with.

We would (and have met) ladies with the intention of having fun straight away if we are all happy with each other, but have been more cautious with single guys... the only one who turned up for the pre-shag coffee was fantastic, and the meet a few days later was great...we're meeting him again tomorrow for another biMMF... several others didn't turn up for the chat, (even after texting and calling several times to assure us they were still up for it, on the way etc....and didn't contact us subsequently  ... draw your own conclusions.) I think we'd be more relaxed meeting a couple, especially with a good track record on the site here, but unless there's that initial tingle when you meet, why would you want to shag someone you didn't like enough?

I meet people often for "just coffee" specially on first meets. As a single fem I feel safer meeting publicly first and there have been a few times I have been disappointed by the person, they talk a good talk on a computer but when face to face bore the shit outta me.

Everybody is an individual and operates in whatever way suits them but a first meet can be quite daunting for some people, and in a worse case scenario even potentially dangerous, particularly for ladies.
So a lot of smart ladies do the 'meet for a coffee or drink first' thing and it works well for them, and any guy who's unhappy about it is probably not worth bothering about and could be regarded as a lucky escape!! |

About 6-7 years ago I was contacted by a guy through Yahoo Messenger. He had lots of photos on his profile…. 35 years of age, 6foot tall, athletic, lovely smile. We spoke on the phone and he was funny, polite and appeared to be ticking the boxes.
Luckily, for some reason I was wary that contact had not been through a site, so I suggested we meet on the high street for a coffee and a natter… even though I was very tempted to get him round and rip his pants off.
A 45+ year old, 5foot, pot-bellied man with a monk’s haircut turned up. I couldn’t help but laugh as I asked him “Did you not think I’d notice?” and then asked “Why did you do it?”… he explained the photos were of his flatmate who oddly didn’t have any trouble meeting women, so he thought he’d use them to get a meet and then hoped the lady would get to like him once they got to know him.
I told him I knew all I needed to know… “You’re a liar - now feck off!” lol
He kept trying to pester me for sometime after that… I am so glad I found out before he found out where I lived.
Sometimes it does you good to have a close call to remind you why it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Simple reason why my first meet through a site like this is always social, be it coffee or a pub, is that I like to get to know someone a little before we meet for a second time for sex.
Need to establish compatability (on both sides I must add), also takes away that assumption from certain types of guys that think a first meet automatically means sex. |
