Some decent bars and clubs but I personally think it is quite seedy in places. Loads of doorways with "models" available upstairs, many of the sex shops are run down and tacky and appear aimed at seling DVD's to the stereotypical dirty old man (though there are some notable exceptions to this), and a fair few dodgy strip joints where people try to lure you in and then buying a drink costs a fortune. It's worth a wander round and people watching can be fun. |

There are gay and strip joints as you would expect of soho.
But it's not over the top as people would have you believe
I live in central London, so I know it quite well |

Nothing like it used to be. I can remember as a teenager living in London sneaking into the peepshows for 50p and getting my first glimpse of a real naked lady lol. Would say soho and old compton street is pretty much a gay scene. Pm if you want the name of a few old style pound in the pint glass strip pubs. Much better than soho. |
