" if they are on this site with profile's it's a sure bet they can read these threads too "
it is a fact members can read the forums; but just because they can does that mean they venture in here?
it would be interesting to see the stats of how many members (a) only go in chat, (b) only come on forums, (c) do both, or (d) only peruse profiles
Guess is that (a) or (d) would rank higher than (b) |

Of course not everyone reads the forms?!! It's a swinging site bet most just peruse the profiles and look at pictures for potential playmates.
There are parts of the site I never go on basically most of it. |

admin stated that less than 1% of members use the forums
dont know about chat but would like to bet that its about 10% if you look at the numbers chatting to total members

"dont use chat or meet today personally xx "
We use chat now and again, but don't use the meet today having noticed some people use the meet today function but have no intention of meeting today nor tomorrow, depending on their mood, they may meet the following day tho! |

yes would help if the site had a" meet in a few days time" area as tho we can be spontaneous at weekends - not all couples can be - though when we do post "for the coming weekend" = we mean it not " depending on their mood " not like those who may change on their mood |

we only ose the forums and browse profiles
the chat rooms. i think is rubbish to use, cant follow who is saying what and when you dont know anybody your basically going in there to say random things to random strangers, obviously there is fun to be had for the regulars in the chat room but for me its just nonsense |

We like to read what's been posted on the forums we found it handy when 1st joining the site as there can be a lot of useful advice & always someone can help if you have any questions your looking for the answer too. We also enjoy the funny threads that people start & all the bits that other people add on but most importantly its where you find out about the socials |

Based on the number of people I chat to at clubs who are also members of Fab, I would say the number who are genuine and use the site and also use the forums is very low. When I mention the forums to my friends most say they never use them.
I would imagine the number of non-genuine swingers using forums is even lower.
As I say this is my personal view based on the % of people I know and of course I only know genuine people since non-genuine people don't go to socials for clubs so the second part is an educated guess.
That said I don't think it matters, those who use them and enjoy them get what they want out of the site those that don't use them are using thier freedom of choice.
I think it is a shame though for those who have never tried them as there is a lot to be learnt here and friends to be made. |

do what I do - just leave your personal opinions, some will agree some will disagree, most who disagree will respect your right to have your own opinion and be polite about it. |

Yep funny that Jed cause people i speak to at chams don't tend ta use the forums either
However when we attend the socials most of the posters seem to go to them
In fact a lot of people who frequent the clubs don't seem ta be on any sites either xx |

I can understand that with the socials since the only real way to find out about socials is in the forums, true they are in the EVENTS pages but they tend to get clogged up with people looking for meets and word of mouth in the chatroom and in person only goes so far.
True many people we know at clubs aren't on any sites at least not regularly. Then other nights at the club it's like a FAB reunion |

When we was on last time we only really went on chat, having the odd look at the forum. But since coming back we have still done both but have started to comment more in the forums, we enjoy both ways. |

I think the biggest problem with the forums is the written word, many people say something harmless which, when said face to face comes over as a lighthearted comment, a smile, a wink and the statement takes on a whole different context to when it is said in typeprint.
How many times have you said to someone "your a tosser" or "your talking crap" in many conversations and in a light tone or with a smile it's taken for what it is, a little banter with no ill intent.
Write the same thing
Your a tosser
Your talking crap
Am I engaging in light hearted banter or am I being abusive, it is very difficult to distinguish between the two when it is written.
I believe people write things in the forums which are not meant to be abusive or offensive but all too often it comes over that way.
Perhaps emoticons can help because I think all the guys are tossers here
At least they can be when alone in the bedroom with a good magazine |
