Why is it you read through some peoples profiles, it states 'Do not just send a friend request with out chatting to me/us first' you check your requests and oh wow, they have sent you one with out even a hi !!
There's nothing wrong with putting a statement like that but at least practise what you preach !! |

I have accidentally sent a friend request instead of a wink (stupid touchscreen phone) I immediately sent a message apologising for the mistake as I have to practice what I preach on our profile. Totally agree with you it infuriates me and also means they have not bothered to read our profile either.

"It's a pain !!
I don't send or accept requests unless we have actually met , but still get sent them "
Same here
Some people bring the Facebook/Twitter mentality to fab and "friend request" just for the sake of it.
We just keep the requests so they cannot send another one.

It really does not bother me at all if someone sends me a friend request. It indicates normally one of two things
1 - they want to look at my friends only pics.
2 - they just add everyone as a friend and want a long long list.
Either option does not irritate or annoy me as its my decision whether I look at the requests or add them as friends. I don't understand why some people get so annoyed and even take the time to type it out and mention it in their profile. It's only someone who has clicked "add as friend", they have not turned up at your house asking for a hot drink and a biscuit, insisting that you are bff's.
Ignore, add, delete, block or just leave them. But it's not worth getting angry over, in fact I have spent more time writing this post than I spend thinking about friend requests.
I personally just leave them sitting there. If I want to see someone's friends only pictures I will message them first and ask.

I accepted a friend request from a lady this morning. Tbh I thought she was already a friend as we've been chatting for ages. I don't mind accepting random friend requests. I know who the real ones are and the 'let's shares pics' ones are. Both valid and enjoyable. |

Personally i don't see the point in being on someone's friends list, even if we do chat or have met being their friend makes no difference at all, if someone want to look at my pic and im interested in them i will add them, have a look then delete them, simply because i see no point keeping them in there tho its amazing how people take offence to removing them off your list like its the be all and end all to be friends if your chatting |

Do as I say, not as I do!
Can honestly say it doesn't really bother me though as if I do accept the request I'll do it whilst they're offline to have a nosey at their private pics first to see if there are face pics...then delete them! After all the only reason they want to add me is to see my private pics so I get in there first |
