over the hill and far away

Went to Isis in Leeds last might with my partner for a play. Our first time at the club. The main problem was a guy who was there who made me feel really uncomfortable with his presence when I was playing. Put me off my stroke so to speak. Eventually I had to ask him to get lost. Has anyone else felt this way in clubs? And what did you do about it?

I was there last night with a friend too and think I know the guy you mean. It was a bit off putting for us and we played privately in the end.

I used to visit this Club quite some time ago.

I visited as a single guy and within 15 minutes of being in the place I got an idea of the type of establishment it was. I didn't want to labelled as one of those single male predatory types hence I left.

But then I am all for second chances so I tried another night as a single male and again the same thing. a few couples and armies of single blokes following them whenever they took one step..really off putting.

Final time I met a lady friend in there and we took one look and thought no thanks and checked into a nice hotel instead.

My personal view is, it has the social appeal of a working mens club with some rooms thrown in for sex. Yes on the off chance you might get some nice single males in but I would not hold your breath.

I have even seen guys from building sites coming in with there work gear on.

I shall leave you to form your own opinion

Thanks gents. I just wondered if it was just a bad visit on a bad night. The couples only room had door locked and curtain up at window most of the night.

I don't mind public play but its only upon invite and polite conversation.... It felt very predatory. I would like to leave a review on here but its not in the review a club section.

In regards to the couples only room.

What I found was the couples who arrive to the place early and got a feel for the types of single men that are in that night, quickly went into that one lockable room and just tend to play in there.

Obviously the couples who want a free for all use the two other larger rooms.

As for the two rooms which are open, there seems to be an idea of free for all but I agree with you totally conversation and invite is a prerequisite to say the least.

They used to be listed under the clubs section but due to the bad press they started to receive and true honest reviews of the club they made the decision to be removed from the reviews section.

I feel the club operates a business model which revolves around a high single guy intake which is then off set against a lower couples or single ladies intake.

Each to there own, but nice to know am not the only one who thought it was some what predatory.
