As a couple, if we're messaged or winked by someone that "WONT MEET SMOKERS" then pretty much means we will bomb them out . . .then you get " ah, i do meet considerate ones" So you do meet smokers then, if getting your hole is on the cards. Fuck me, we're nit lepers . . Just put you WILL meet smokers and add conditions into you're profile txt . . You may get further |

I get loads of mail from guys who state they wont meet smokers, when I point out I smoke pretty much all of them say that it don't matter and would happily still meet me even tho I smoke
I don't care if someone chooses not to meet me because I smoke, I get enough offers to not have to worry about things like that but I get where your coming from if you will meet smokers why state you wont?  |

Mister smokes I don't but get messages from those who on Prof say won't meet smokers! But it says on my profile he smokes and says we come as a couple! Maybe even in their text they should say may consider smokers if that actually IS the case. |

I smoke and tend to only look for couples and singles who smoke, but I would like to meet the occasional non smoker and I'm a quite able to abstain both for a few hours before the meet and during, always have shower and shave, fresh smart ironed clothes, the whole nine yards. But to a non smoker this means nothing. |

I know one of the sites I joined, can't remember if it was this one, but asks you if you smoke - yes or no

we don't smoke but will meet with smokers as long as their considerate...fresh breath etc..the same thing I'd expect from a non smoker! Never had any issues.  |

i dont meet with smokers unless in a club as im asthmatic and had a "non smoker" turn up at my house when we did accomodate and stank the house out we asked him to leave that was an inconsiderate smoker. We had a message from a couple the other day who smoked who wouldnt meet smokers that baffled us |

There is a massive difference in smoking smells. Some considerate smokers wont smoke while your there with them. Others will have their last before their shower and fresh clothes. I was always a not meet smokers person but then fell for a man who I didnt know smoked. He never smelt of it etc. So I still have on my preferences I wont meet smokers but do have in my profile text about considerate smokers.
It is not just to get the female version of my end away though x |

We've had a few people turn up to a meet that said non smoker on there profile and then when we say we're popping outside for a smoke, to be considerate to the non smoker only to have them turn round and say oh it's ok I smoke can I have one as well? Erm but did you not say on your profile you don't smoke. They usually say it puts a lot of people off so don't put it on there profile and then just deal with it as and when. Makes you wonder how many smokers are are the site but put non smokers. |

I remember being on a meet when I smoked, had been talking to the guy quite a bit on the phone and he had mentioned having a cig so after a good few rounds at the meet I asked if he smoked in the flat, he looked shocked then thankful as he'd not had a cig for hours so he didn't smell of it haha.
Made me laugh but shows just because you smoke doesn't mean they/the house will smell of smoke. |

I dont meet smokers, but did meet one by default as I didnt realise he smoked. Dont think it is on his profile either as he doesnt do it much. Smelled great, he didnt smoke around me and yesterday I met a guy who only smokes on a night out or at work and that is true too. He smoked in his car taking me home, asked if I minded and he kept the window open, so I didnt smell of smoke. Considerate guy, it was his car so I said it was fine. Got to be a little flexible, but if someone was a fulltime smoker doing it around me I wouldnt go there. Bit confusing maybe but I understand it.  |

I state on my profile I smoke n use mouthwash n won't smoke before/during a meet n get same responses as above - folks who actually confess they smoke too!
I find the folks who wanna meet u suddenly feel the smoking ain't such a big deal when push comes to shove!
In my pre smoking days (I've only smoked for last 18 year's) I used find the smell n taste of fresh cigarettes on someone a real TURN ON - well I've always been contrary LOL  |

I prefer not to meet smokers. My choice.
By the way, even if you use mouthwash, shower, change your clothes etc, if you smoke everyday i can still smell it.
I have a sensitive nose I guess.
Quite frankly, it's my choice who I meet. I won't judge you for smoking, don't judge me for making my choices. |

We used to get these messages when N used to smoke (now on e cigs 4 months)and we used to reply saying that they should be honest on their profile at the start or put something in their profile to help rather than saying wont meet smokers on their preferences.If they are not honest or up front from the start then we feel that the swinging fun starts off a bit tainted. 
Now he has stopped we get lots more invites for fun...and some from those who we say "wow...we fancy meeting them" only to find that they say wont meet smokers.  |

I wonder if all these wont meet smokers people have friends who smoke and have socials with them, and yes i do smoke, and in my expairence, none smokes always mostly end up outside with the smokers in nice weather |

We put that we don't meet smokers as we would prefer not to, kissing is an integral part of a meet for us and it's not nice tasting ciggerettes if you don't smoke. However, it isn't a deal breaker and i find some people lie about whether they smoke or not anyway! |

I ( p) don't smoke, H does, we will meet smokers but have only one rule, no smoking in the house
If we go to their home, they can smoke without a problem, we have found that most smokers respect that P doesn't smoke and will smoke away from me. |

I dont think any of my close friends smoke. I certainly dont go outside with the smokers as I dont want the smell on my clothes and hair.
I remember in my late teens clubbing (vanilla) and coming home stinking of smoke from smokers inside the club. My hair used to reek of it even my underwear.

some non smokers are really quite inconsiderate, when suzy and I lit our pipes at the last non smokers meet we were at they instantly asked us to leave. I don't think it was the ready rubbed shag i was smoking but I do think it was because suzy likes to smoke some crack occasionally. people are so intolerant. |

Its a tick box no more and you only have 2 options on here. Nothing to do with being a leper or anything. The fact is some smokers are fine repectfull and would ask or avoid round smoking round people who don't. However others are complete arseholes, will spark up in your house, flick ash everywhere and smell like a shitheap. Some pleople tick no but are open minded its not that difficult to understand in reality is it. |

Im an ex smoker and will meet smokers but god after a wild time i do miss my cigs just like after food with my coffee when i wake up and at other times but i stoped way back in june this year i dont hate the smell of cigs but a full ash tray that i dont like |

I only smoke when I'm dressed, so it might only be 2 in a week. Looks like more, because if I'm clubbing and outside, I generally get a pic taken, but I'm never sure what to class myself as. |

We regualrly get messages from people that have won't meet smokers on their profile.
The other thing that makes us laugh are the amount of non smokers who turn up to a meet with cigarettes or ask for one of ours. |

For me it depends on the smoker. I dated a smoker who still had clean white teeth and great hygiene which meant I couldn't really smell it.
Then you get the smokers that you can smell from 3 meters away, when I commuted to work a guy used to get on a few stops after I did and I could smell stale fags as soon as he stepped through the door. |

I think what smokers are unwilling or unable to accept is if you regularly smoke that whatever you do regarding mouthwash, clean clothes, showering etc that it still comes out of your skin, taste it on every part of you and non smokers can always tell that you smoke. If people choose to not meet smokers then it is there choice....and usually a good one... |

I get that too. My profile does state if a person has wont meet smokers on their profile then I won't reply. It's not rocket science and out of the many messaged I have received only one guy actually won't meet smokers |

Of all the things to get wound up about on this site, I think this is an odd one. As is often said, people are free to use the site however they wish and whether they say they meet smokers or not that is their preference and not necessarily a hard and fast rule. Many women and couples put that they are not looking for single guys, not because they don't actually meet them but because they prefer to look for themselves and it acts as another filter. Age preference is the same, many people meet outside of their preferred range but having it on their profile (mostly) stops people outside from messaging them. People may say they don't meet smokers in the same way, after all there is no option for "prefer not to meet smokers but will do if you promise not to blow it in my face and stink up my house". |

Yes we do, and have those in the banking world been left poorer or without their bonuses? Who has actually suffered?
And to be honest, comparing the educational requirements of bankers with that of doctors is a bit Or do you know of a College of Banking that does a degree, with a formal curriculum and a recognised qualification in Banking? Can you think of any training route for bankers as defined as that for doctors? Do bankers need to be registered? Can they be struck off?
So yes, all doctors are educated. Some, but possibly not all, are also intelligent. Many doctors smoke. Ergo, your claim that smokers are uneducated is clearly seriously flawed.
As for what I "promote", it's that the decision to smoke is a personal choice.
I'm willing to bet you make choices that you know may not be optimum for your health sometimes. |

Not really. To a non-smoker, especially a sensitive non-smoker, a regular smoker is usually obvious, even if they've tried to hide it. Perhaps not during a brief meeting but certainly during a longer, intimate liaison.

Realistically you know smoking is bad for your health, that it stinks, costs a fortune, increases your chances of developing numerous nasty illnesses and ultimately may drastically shorten your life.
You know that, even if you choose to be in denial.
However, we all have to die of something and the decision to smoke is yours to make.
I absolutely support your right to exercise personal choice in the matter. In return I expect my choice not to have people force their smoke and their stink on me, and not to meet smokers, to be respected.

Again, choose denial if you will, but most non-smokers will tell you it's usually easy to identify a regular smoker. In general they smell bad, they taste bad, they can have stained fingers and teeth. There are exceptions but they are few and far between.
You may not be aware of it but it doesn't make it any less the case.
Again, your choice but please don't try to tell us that nobody has a legitimate reason to not want to meet smokers.

Our profile says that we don't smoke and that we won't meet smokers although we are constantly being contacted by smokers. When I reply, pointing out the above, some get nasty, a few say that they are 'considerate' smokers, but most try to coax us into meeting them.
Granted, there have been a few occasions where G has contacted others who are smokers, and I've had to write to apologise for him contacting them, then give him a telling off for not reading profiles properly - hey, he's a bloke and doesn't always look at the small print, he sees a pair of boobs and a fanny and he's there, introducing us |

I tick the box for won't meet smokers because given the choice I'd rather not. As it happens I have met two - because it says on their profile they are non-smokers. That's not really on.
They were 'considerate' but I could still taste it in their kiss, and all other things being equal, I'd rather not. If I thought someone was hot as hell I might choose to make an exception, but I'd prefer it to be my own free choice. |

What I usually say to those that have won't meet smokers is that if they changed it to will meet smokers it's not saying they will meet every smoker that contacts them but it does give a larger scope to choose from but it's still their choice at the end of the day. I never smoke when on a meet unless they smoke too and I've been complimented on how I don't stink of smoke or that they can taste it when they have kissed me. So please remember not all smokers stink or smell like an ashtray |

What amazes us in all these smoking debates is how personally some of the non smoking whiners take this topic.
All of a sudden they become health adviser's, hygiene experts or moral high horses. All you gotta do is click next rather than bitch and moan on something that is obviously NOT your preference.
EVERY ONE gets mail on this site from people who are outside their preferences. Not just non smokers. But seems most non smokers are real touchy and sensitive when this topic is raised as can be seen by some of the posts on this thread.

Incidentally, the very first post on this thread is a defensive post by a smoker. "Fuck me, we're not lepers". So it's hardly all the fault of the non-smokers.
Considerate, honest smokers are one thing, although personally I would still prefer not to meet them. However, some smokers are not considerate and inflict their smoke on others in places it is difficult or impossible to avoid it.
It works both ways. If smokers have the right to smoke then non-smokers have the right not to have to breathe that smoke. And that shouldn't involve having to refrain from normal life/social activities to achieve, (e.g. before the smoking ban smokers telling non-smokers to stay out of pubs if they didn't want to breathe smoke).
