Heading to Berlin in February with the wife. Send any recommendations through both naughty and touristy.

I've never had anytime for naughtiness in Berlin, but I've worked there a couple of times. Two very disparate things stand out...

Food wise, certainly for Steak, the Midtown Grill Ebertstr. 3 Marriott Hotel Berlin, 10117 takes some beating. Every time we visit, we always eat there at least one night.

Then, and this probably isn't what you are expecting (certainly on this forum!), the Holocaust Memorial is incredibly powerful and very humbling.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I am after anything and everything in terms of suggestions so really appreciate your input. I’ve been told the steak is fantastic via a private message so I’ll certainly look at the restaurant recommendations. And the tour does sound very powerful so on the list.

Thanks both.

My recommendations would be:

- Going up on the roof of the Reichstag. It's free, but you need to book this in advance!!! (you do that on-line). My recommendation would be booking a slot ~45 mins before sunset so that you can see it in the light and watch the sunset from up there (I've got some lovely photos from doing that)

- The ice cream cafe at the Potsdamer Platz shopping mall (it's at one one end on the ground floor), SERIOUSLY nice ice cream!!

- The Fernsehturm gives the best views over Berlin,

- The Checkpoint Charlie museum is really interesting (a history of the Berlin Wall and escapes). But my kids (teenagers) found it a bit boring.

- The holocaust memorial (and the museum underneath it).

- The Kaiser Wilhelm Gedachtniskirche (I think I've spelt that right) is very pretty and worth at least a quick look if you're in the area (in the old Western Berlin centre).

- Obviously a visit to Berlin isn't complete without a photo of the Brandenburg Gate (and time it right, at the right time of year and you can get a lovely sunset photo with it too)

I can't think of any other absolute must-sees at the moment.

Wow thank you for that. Really useful. Especially the Reichstag building as wouldn’t have realised about the early booking. Just been on the website.

If you are looking for something more sexual see if the “kit kat” club is still going; been several years since I’ve been. Mash up between a swingers club and a night club.

Thank you, yes we had a look at that. From what I have read it is very much still going but queues can be quite long with no guarantee of entry.
