Yes and depends. I travel with work so might go quite a distance if I can tie it in with work. If it's local and for something a bit more regular then I'd say up to an hour but depends on the direction as I have friends and family in and around the region so can combine it. |

I don't travel more than an hour. If someone is further than that I'm happy to meet half way.
I only ever meet socially first time but anything more than an hour isn't going to work beyond that initial social. |

For me it’s about where I feel comfortable and safe. At my local Beefeater I know the staff, they know what I do, and look out for me.
I do/have travelled as Hubby and I went and scoped out potential pubs within an hour in Lincoln, Doncaster, Hull, and Cleethorpes and Doncaster so I can try and be more flexible and meet guys from further away xx |

We're a bit split on this, we've had offers to meet couples half way around 60 miles away from their location. However, most likely you won't just want one or two drinks if the social is going well so it's hard to want to make that visit for a social alone. We much prefer meeting in our local town or city which if that doesn't work, at a club night that suits both parties.. |

I'd only meet locally for a first social meet, as it's just a drink and chat to see of there's mutual attraction.
I've seen too many threads where people have been stood up, after travelling a fair way. So no way would I go a long way, for someone I didn't know in person. |
