When does curious change to bi?

I've noticed a lot of profiles claim people to be bi-curious.
Just what exactly does this mean, because to my mind, once you have tried it a couple of times, surely you are no longer just curious?
I have to confess a certain curiosity myself, but if you put it on your profile, people seem to read it as being fully bi already (and in some cases reacting rather phobicly about it) rather than accepting that under the right circumstances you just want to push the envelope slightly and see if it is for you.
Perhaps I am missing the point;can someone explain? |

Its thin line for most people id agree and the point you raised will i am sure spark a lively debate
Answering it from my perspective; id say this - when i started "swinging" with my ex wife some years back, you could not; not get close up and personal with other men when sharing etc - over the years i had no objection to the occasional man touching me and whilst it didn't phase me i just went with the flow. After many of those instances, i realised you know what i liked it and started to return the odd touch/grope and feel/suck even - at that stage i would have classed myself as "Bi cur" .
Many years down the road i realised i actually started to enjoy having full on sex with men and furthermore would arrange to meet men alone. Its then i would say i classed myself as Bi sexual .. i am not ashamed of my sexuality and have no wish to hide it in my profile etc - people (male or female), just have to take me as they find me ...and i am blessed in having both sexes as close intimate friends...

I think I'd agree with this once you have had a bi experience and enjoyed it I think you change from being bi curious to just bi, I know that after my first experience I just wanted to taste more so I think I count my self as bi now |

I was always bisexual even before I did anything with another girl...it wasn't curiosity for me, I just knew
in the end, the labels we use on here are useful only in that they help us filter through to the people we're seeking...other than that, I really don't care what people consider themselves to be, it's what they are comfortable with themselves...i find the people who get hung up on the whole...if you've tried it once you can't go back pedantic in the extreme...for all of us even me who was so sure, sexuality is generally a fluid concept that can change over time |

I've tried it, enjoyed it at the time but wouldn't seek a ff situation. I love kissing women and boobs are fantastic to play with but I'd far rather go down on a man. However, I wouldn't rule something out in group play/ heat of the moment.

Maybe. Or maybe they are then straight curious. I think bi-curious implies at least a leaning towards same sex attraction. |

couldnt agree more, bi playful is a much better desciption of basically straight people that wouldnt go screaming to the hills if a little bi play happened when you were all in the 'zone' enjoying erotic and horny fun. |

In the heat of the moment i think that oral sex between 2 men can easily happen and both enjoy it and i would class that as bi curious the line between curious and bi for me is penetrative sex . |

Very much agree. I consider myself to be bi playful in that I enjoying playing with girls but only in a group situation and as part of the fun. I'm not interested in one on one meets |

I (Hann) kind of missed the bi curious stage. I always knew I was so it was just the physical doing it I hadn't done. So now I've done it, I love it I def class myself as bi.
I don't get those who say they are bi playful - to me you either love it or don't...
I suppose every definition is interperated to how the reader wants...
I find it hard to find a couple with a genuine bi fem (not putting on a show...)

Maybe it's easier to clarify what 'straight' is! as a straight man, I have no wish to touch, suck, fuck, wank, kiss or finger another man......I have no problem with body parts touching whilst we both pleasure a female but anything else is a no no for me! That's what I class as straight, anything else is Bi, in my humble opinion |

I think bisexual is when you could feel comfortable in a relationship with someone of the same sex equally as much as the opposite sex. For me I'm bi playful, not bi curious. Meaning if there is a mutual attraction then yes it's all good. |

What if you had some thoughts about wanting to meet a woman for a drink and a chat about taking it a little bit further and you do, but after that dont want to try it again - does that make you bi or just been curious? Daft question maybe but im in the dark about this  |

I don't think I've ever been curious.
I went straight into bi after seeing Grease as a girl and knowing I fancied Olivia Newton John while my sisters fancied John Travolta.
The stirrings I had left me in no doubt where my sexual tendencies lie.  T

I think it depends on how you define bi.
My first, and so far only bi experience was with a woman who said she didn't class herself as bi as she didn't want a relationship with a woman, she just likes playing with them occasionally.

Im not sure i was bi curious as a teen i had girl crushes along with boy crushes...I first kissed a girl at 15 and i still was curious i first had sex with a girl in my late teens and loved it and knew i would do more and did...But never have i wanted a relationship with a woman and i class myself as bisexual.
I like women on my own and i like to join couples or have women join me with a male but never do i think i would have a full relationship with a woman but still class myself as bisexual. |

I've been bi all my life from playing (n snogging)other boys at school from age 13 n moved onto sex with much older women at 14. I've never been in2 anal tho!
Women r much more chilled it seems about being bi whereas alot of fellas have real issues about m on m activity.
I would say u r bi curious til u try it n if u go bak for more u r bi n if u never try it a 3rd time just like an ex smoker u become an ex bi LOL  |

where does that leave gay blokes who don't like penetrative sex?
I would say that there are as many answers to the question as there are people. Everybody has there own boundaries and interpretation and there are so many different levels of participation.
My interest in men is purely sexual and I cannot ever remember fancying a fella which would I suppose put me near to the top of the 'bi scale'. At the top I see 'fully bi' as being 100% split as far as love, life and sex goes. |
