Which the current allegations against a certain master chef presenter about crude comments and looking at a womans breasts while talking to them. I've never really liked the man, but as a presenter, he was liked by many.
I'm sure there is much more in the way of allegations to come now it's in the open, but I'm beginning to feel that vanilla society is becoming a very uncomfortable place to be. We are starting to loose the freedom of speech we once enjoyed.
Now I'm starting to sound like some crazy freedom fighter from the 80s but have we gone too far? |

"Everyone is free in this country to say exactly what they want to say.
Try telling that to the police! "
Freedom of speech doesn't come with freedom from consequences. We're all able to say what we want but need to understand that there could be repercussions. |

It's scary how many people don't seem to understand that concept these days. |

Freedom of speech is the right to express ideas and opinions without fear of legal action, censorship, or retaliation
🤔
So there is no freedom of speech no more in the UK |

I agree there is a right to free speech but there are also consequences for some things we say. What I really want to know is what the “no more free speech” brigade want to say but they don’t think they can? |

What's real freedom and how can we achieve it as individuals without impacting others freedom? |

Freedom of speech is a good idea in a perfect society but reality is very different!
What I was asking is have we gone too far and become too sensitive to others comments and actions.
True sexual harassment or abuse from predators or psychopaths is very different to a crude comment. Or is it? |

Personally I think people should think before they speak and stop calling other people too sensitive when they take exception to what they say.
If you're saying that because one thing isn't as bad as another the lesser thing should be allowed I don't agree. |
