I mean, it's a struggle finding anyone when it's warm outside, but now it's winter is there a better chance because it's darker earlier, or worse chance because it's bloody freezing?

going back to the 90s when dogging was dogging it was 365 days a year use to be a famouse spot in the southwest where even christmas day night was busy ..

some spots are still all year around

Winter is good as it tends to mean anyone there is a genuine dogger and not a timewaster.

Also, the dark evenings means I can be home at a decent time!

Some 20 years ago, I used to do overnight courier work around the Midlands, and used to take my 2.00am-ish 'lunch break' at one or another of two well-known dogging locations in the Birmingham area...

....it always astounded me that even in the depths of winter, on freezing, frosty nights or with snow on the ground, there was usually some activity...
