Hey, I've not been on the site too long, but I routinely see folks complaining of "pic collectors". Can anyone explain what they regard as a pic collector and what behaviors indicate that someone is doing it? Just want to avoid coming off as one by accident! Cheers |

If i post a pic and get a friends request straight after with not so much as a message
People who give me a compliment and in the next sentence ask for more pictures
Men pretending to be women or couples (you get quite tuned in to spotting these) simply to get friends access. They’d probably have more success just being honest and targeting those who enjoy sharing pics. |

Any tips for spotting those pretending to be women/couples? |

If it looks to good to be true it probably is.
Ask yourself why a 25 year old good looking lady would have no filters (i.e meet 18-99, doesnt smoke but will meet smokers etc)
If the gallery is all selfies; chances are if there isn't a picture taken by another (especially a couple) the photos have been scalped from somewhere
Verified within days of joining- what is always a dead give away is the verifier and the profile gives the same area as where they are.
Obv’s thats just my take on it; some may do the above and be genuine. |

Asking to move to another platform is usually an indicator to me.
Ie they ask quickly to move to kik/telegram, just my experience but they usually then ask for pics without wanting to show much of themselves.

Interestingly we prefer to chat on telegram exactly to avoid this. We can share pictures as disappearing and if someone screenshots it we know immediately and can block them.
But I do get your point! |

I’ve done tribe, but only when asked, and I’ve complimented on pics, but never expected anything back.
I complimented a couple a day or two ago, they responded with a very nice message, but I suspect a pic hunter would have pushed for more. I didn’t, I just left it there. Their posted pic made me happy, and the compliment appeared to make them happy, what more could you ask for?
There are loads of pics on the internet, pic hunters could use those surely? |

I think that's "pic stealing" which is completely different but another big problem.
Not that anybody would steal mine lol. |

I don't get the "pic collector" label. Why would someone bother going through the hassle of trying to collect specific people's pics? If anybody wants to "collect" photos then fab is full of hot people's public pics, let alone the whole of the internet and countless adult sites. |

I don't have any photos taken by someone else, I only do selfies.
I am not a fake woman though...

Exactly the same here. Messages on Fab is clunky and not really secure. Telegram is very effective |

I'm nervous about moving to another platform for messaging as wary of scams. Is there any risk of potential scammers accessing contacts or followers through Telegram or Kik etc? Apologies I know very little about either. |
