This happens every single time. That's why I say no winks on my profile. I just don't get why they do it |

I call it the virtual equivalent of passing a suggestive-but-innocuous look at someone, from across the room. Either party can then make the decision as to whether they want to take next step of initiating conversation. |

I like to wink as an informal hello, rather than bothering someone with a message, who potentially may not be interested - if they wink back I know, then I'll strike up a conversation  |
