I would not chat on another social media platform or by phone or text either. I like to keep chats on Fab. But I do tell men this when they ask.

This morning a man I had replied to once, sent me his phone number at 5am, at 7 am when I got up I saw this and went to reply no thanks, he had blocked me..

Fab messaging is pants, messages get lost if you get loads and you can't sort them unless you're friends, telegram is way easier and you can hide your number so you don't need to give it out and worst case you can block them same as on here, but it's personal preference

The main thing I have about using other platforms is that I feel like my time is being monopolised by others when using them.

It seems like some people see it as a way of removing any potential opposition from others on Fab. If they are chatting constantly to you, others on Fab cannot be.

So that's why I would prefer to keep it all on Fab, I can pick and choose who I interact with and there's less 'pressure' on me to respond to a message in their time frame.

If this doesn't make sense, I'm sorry but that's how I feel at timed.

We keep everything on here as taking things to another site means there's no proof if something goes wrong. Also we get asked to go to telegram, Whatsapp, Skype, Kik etc and if we did we'd be bouncing between multiple platforms and would never keep up.

That's a good point, we keep all messages on fab too, we can log out when we like and don't get any notifications.that way we're only interacting when we choose to log on and read messages

I do agree with this. On fab you can choose when you log in and when you look at messages.

On other apps, you can't and as you say, people think they can talk to you as and when they want to.

I also always assume, rightly or wrongly, that people want more pics when they ask to move the chat elsewhere or that they want to remain anonymous , whilst expecting info from me. That's just my own experience in the past, when I used kik.

Hi OP, do not ever suggest moving off Fab to another platform until THEY are ready and THEY suggest it.

In all my time on here it's always been the women who suggested moving to Telegram or WhatsApp (although, in fairness, if she ever insisted on moving to Kik™ then I would block her).

It's so weird that so many men on here hide behind a couples or a woman profile too. The moment you say let's video call or arange meet up they block you

Keep it on fab, it works for most of us and gives everyone the opportunity to choose who they want to chat to. If they're interested they'll give you more details in time most people sre put off by strangers pushing for personal details

I’m not saying the majority are cheating but those that are up to no good would want to keep their secret tucked away in one place and will stick to Fab only. Spreading conversations and photos over other platforms will just increase the chances of being caught. Too much to delete and hide when suspicions arise.

Can't stand people that cone out with "let's chat on WhatsApp" etc

It takes the build up fun away from the cuck. And it's pretty disrespectful to even want to leave him out.

As many others have said, I prefer to keep conversations on here, as I can attend to messages when I can, it's on my terms. All the instant messaging apps are so intrusive, people think you live on them. I don't even like the group chats on other apps, as some people do live on them and could chat for England. It gets very wary when I pick up my phone after work (can't use it there) and there's 100+ messages on group chat.

I don't like talking on the phone and I like video chats even less, so no, I will not be offering my instant messaging apps handles, or my phone number. If that makes me fake, then be it- I would not be compatible with anyone believing that, just because I do not want to talk anywhere else than Fab, I'm a fake or a cheat.

I'm not currently meeting anyway so that's not an issue for me.

On a different wtf level (sorry to hijack your thread, OP)- what is it with men who message me out of nowhere, send their pic and expecting me to send one back? Despite my profile clearly (in my opinion) stating I'm not looking for anything or anyone at present?

did it say on their profile... we don't talk on somewhere else... some do.

It could be for a million reasons. We wouldn't be taking a chat to anywhere private.. we find it a waste of time x

Men can't be bothered to read profiles. Especially lately, there seems to be an epidemic of that.

That's unlucky. I only occasionally get it from a couple or two. The rest is all men.

I expect a lot of people won’t move a chat off fab. Any abuse or no show can’t be reported on here once off fab and I’m prob not alone in thinking anyone asking me to talk on other platforms quite quickly is exactly thinking they can fuck me around and there’s no recourse.

I generally don’t like messaging on other platforms. I think Fab messaging works fine for what it is supposed to do - arranging meets.

I am poor at keeping up with people on other messaging platforms at the best of time and I don’t want to add more people to the mix.

I agree with this. Though I used to give my number out before, it was reading posts like the quoted one that gave me the confidence to keep contact on here.
