How do you deal with overly keen people on here?
I’ve found that it gets my back up, and leads to me being cold and direct. Which I don’t want to do, as I don’t want that person to feel bad.
I’ve tried a softer approach but that just ends up with people continuing to pester or try to persuade me.
What’s your approach for kindly letting someone down, whilst still being firm?
Would especially like to hear from women, as I’m sure they have to deal with this quite often? |

You just communicate like adults and let them know they aren't for you. If they don't accept a polite decline, it's not your responsibility to take that on board. I don't over explain or justify myself but if they don't take no for an answer, blocking is the only way forward. |
