We recently went to a social and met a couple of tv.s for the first time. Were a little shy but not homophobic or tv aphobic so joined a friend in conversation with both tv.s i ended up talking 2 both on my own for a while. Asked if the 2 ladies were having fun at the social. Not sure if i offended or not calling them ladies as was not intentional . What you tv/ts .s like to be classed as this is all new to us and we definitely don't want to offend any body

I think it's etiquette to refer to tvs as female when they're a la mode as a tv friend from here put it!

I guess it depends on the way it was said. It's hard to put inflection in writing but:

"Are you ladies enjoying youselves?"

Is very different from:

"Are you 'ladies' enjoying yorselves?"

I don't mind how people address me, as long as its with respect, we are human too, some people seem to forget that at times.

Lady(ies) is fine with me, girls also. You didnt faux pas so don't worry!

It's annoying when you get people who are clearly anti-tv and make a point of calling you "mate" to show what they consider you to be. I usually end up calling them something more choice.

we definitely dont go out to disrespect any body no matter who they are, we go out for a few drinks a giggle and a craick, if we meet new people and get on great if not move on, and if by the end of the night if were dancing even better, as long as we don't upset any 1 . that is what we dont go out to do

thanks for your info guys and gals

I (male half) once slipped up on a night out at a t girl bar in the gay village and called a friend mate whilst she was dressed, completely unintended and I was mortified, we have loads t girl friends and socialise in the bar all the time. Luckily it was laughed off at my evident distress lol x

I prefer to be called something feminine when dressed.

The other week I was dogging and bumped into a guy who was determined to call me mate, but then in the dusk he hadn't realised I was a TV till I spoke and had seemed quite keen.....
