Coming Out

Though married since the age of 22, I've known for as long as I can remember that I've been attracted to my own sex.

Burying this until just 18 months or so ago, it was a relief when I came out with it and divulged this to Lola, my second wife and the love of my life! She's been amazingly supportive and the openness we have with each other is a great comfort. We've met and had mutual fun in the intervening months and we've had such great fun.

But, aside from one close friend, we've told no one else. I do have a strong desire to come clean as it were. I guess what stops me is hurting those closest to me with the information.

If you have tussled with this in your life, what was the outcome? One bit of me says it's no big deal, then I look at my 22 yr old son and think would he ever understand.

Over to you!

At least being on a site such as this, and having such a supportive and understanding partner, you are able to be yourself and explore your sexuality with like minded people who will not judge or condemn you.

Whatever you decide to do, wish you all the best. x

If you and your wife are happy with it and its going to cause upset I don't see the point in telling anyone else.

Brighton - even Hove!

At least by keeping your sexuality open on here, no one will mind or care. It might be different in 'real life'....if it ain't broke....what would you achieve if you told people or your son? I'd hopethat these days, no one would care anyway.

Dont see the point of upsetting anyone, almost certainly you both still love each other just that you both get pleasure from different sexes. Why shouldnt you both enjoy pleasure, there are almost certainly couple on here that would like to indulge and play both bi and straight so you could all get what you desire

I honestly don't understand the need to divulge all the minutiae of our lives with all and sundry.

There really is nothing wrong in keeping our "private life" private. Sharing with ones partner is one thing, and personally, it would have been something I'd have been honest with from the get go, but that aside, what purpose will it serve, apart from being cathartic to the individual?

I wasn't asking whether you approved or not. I was asking those that had been through this what their experience had been. I don't need a lecture on my conduct. Christ alone knows I've wrestled with it for years and I am aware of my shortcomings. That was uncalled for and unkind.

I think you completely misunderstood the point she was making. Or maybe you didn't. In any case, congrats on your new circumstances.
