WELLINGBOROUGH

So we are a couple only meet as a couple, we always have a social before proceeding.

Do anyhow a chap was messaging us and wanted to meet, so we let him suggest where that was convenient for both.

His suggestion (a 50 yo male) was his car in a macdonalds drive through car park

Was we harsh in just saying no thanks and blocking him.

It's public, safe and doesn't involve alcohol so there are some positive points.

50 yo guys almost exclusively meet in McDonald's drive throughs.

You need to await for them to order. Caramel latte is the code phrase.

Then you intercept them on foot before they reach the pay window.

Obviously, if you're a woman or TV, you do this in lingerie and a long coat.

Open coat at their door as they slow for the window. Open car door before they reach window.

Arrange self on seat, stocking legs crossed and say, I'd like a caramel latte too dear. That's your code phrase.

You obviously spend your time swinging with those under 50s weirdos that meet in coffee shops, parks, pubs, hotel bars, lay bys, supermarkets wine aisles.

You really blew the offer of your lives.

Close down your profile, invest in sack cloth and ashes & ponder on your poor knowledge of normal everyday society.

I mean, to a degree, it's not the worst idea of his, even if it was an inital meeting spot and you went from there for coffee/walk etc. It's public, neutral territory, doesn't involve alcohol.

Maybe suggesting an alternative place instead of blocking? Seems if you got to organising a social meet stage things must have been going well?

Not where this drive thru was, and especially not at 830

And to be honest I wasn't overly keen but wife always wants to give people a chance in person, but that totally scuppered his chance of seeing us.
