As a complete beginner I suggest this till u have mastered it. Before u start trim it down to a few mm. Don't shave long hair. A hot bath...hair needs to be wet, as it will absorb water n swell. Easier for razor to pick up. Avoid foam instead use hair conditioner it coats hair, allows razor to glide and u can see where yr going. Short gentle strokes not to much pressure. Rinse blade often and make sure u stretch the area of skin yr shaving. U know yrself u can give the sac a good tug n stretch so don't be afraid to do this. If u let the blade glide gently u can always reapply the conditioner and go over same area in diff direction. This is important if yr hairs grow in multiple directions. Light pressure and short strokes helps razor glide and avoids skin irritation.
Moisturise once it's done ....and for a few days after to avoid dry skin n ingrown hairs. Good luck |

Shaving generally implies you're using a blade or blades, rather than waxing or hair removal. I use Gillette Fusion5, but only because I have been buying their product for decades, I'm sure any other razor would work just as well. I'd steer clear of the blowtorch option though.
