Men massively outnumber women and couples so they have to try to get a foot in the door so to speak just to get ignored because said women and couples are swamped with messages

As a couple, when we had single males open to messaging, we got absolutely swamped.
Some of them, to be fair, at least read our profile and sent a more "personalised" message or something along those lines.
But the majority were copy and pasted - you can tell by the wording - or just really daft ones like "fuck now?".
Unfortunately it seems the majority spoil it for the minority in most cases, and then there's countless threads moaning about being ignored, can't get a meet etc.
We'd be more curious to A read and B potentially reply to someone who's made a bit of an effort. |

OP, may I please be candid? •IF• I was going to message you I wouldn't hesitate in sending a boilerplate cut-and-paste message. Why? Because if the profile lacks any substance, effort or detail then it will equally attract unimaginative messages.

If I were messaging hundreds of people I wanted to bang, I'd maybe consider copy pasting.
But, there aren't that many people I'm actually interested in. And I have a much bigger pool of potentials than the average man on fab.
Sending boilerplate copy paste messages says to me that you're not actually interested in the person you're messaging, just the potential of any viable genitals. |

So, I'm going to put a different spin on this.
Fab it's TOUGH for single blokes. It's hard going, ego killing, and can sometimes sap creativity.
A well constructed copy and paste that outline what I am looking for, saving me time, energy, and sanity...I'm all for it.
I've even stated on the message that it's a copy and paste..not.the highest success rate, but I've had more responses from it that sitting and creating from scratch |
