Your smart phone should have a mirror function somewhere in settings! On an iPhone swipe down on top right and very bottom button looks like two oblongs hit that button!!

Your tv needs to be able to mirror too though!!

If you have kids in the house ask them to cast/share/stream a YouTube video on the TV. But I think you need a smart TV
