shyness / social awkwardness
can swinging work for those who show shyness / social awkwardness and why is it that more and more fit under this tag ... im finding more and more are shy / awkward so wont talk unless talked too there a deep lack of social skills yet somehow they think they can get naked with you and this is across the board of men and women...
this is not a dig its more of a how do you deal with it or do you just say polite no thanks and move on |

The simple answer, regardless of shyness or being unable to socially interact is "unlikely."
When folks meet at a club, usually there's some form of flirting, communication in the social areas. If folks can't make that social connection, then the chances of success drop rapidly.
We're all very different and we all seek different things, but if someone is sufficiently inward, the chances of successfully networking and making that click in the social area is a number tending to nil. |

im very shy, and it definitely does impact on how well i can interact with people in any situation, including dating, or sexual interactions.
However, its not impossible. I've found that when i interact with people who are comfortable in their own skin and are therefore relaxed interacting with others, they dont judge me/my shyness as a result. Then i can quickly become comfortable and interact as well as anyone else.
for me its a matter of trying to make person connections 1v1 or in very small groups, and recognising that some people will be uncomfortable wth my shyness, and therefore the interaction will be awkward, and likely never improve. so best to move on |

We met a couple where the woman was very socially awkward. She assured us after the social that she would be fine when we met again. She wasn't.
We wouldn't meet someone who was like that again because it's painful for them and awkward for us |

As a socially awkward person it doesn't impact my fab experience here or on my singles, but my awkwardness is made clear to those I wish to meet.
In a club environment is different I literally did a runner at the last event I went to, I was alone (my 1st visit alone), nervous & just panicked. But until that point I did speak to lots of great people, I explained my nervousness & everyone was great.
For me I'm up front & those that don't like awkwardness won't bother with me and those that don't mind my strange little ways will.

I struggle with people in general as don’t trust people and quick to judge, but find swinging easier due to been pretty much strangers and people not here to judge. |
